Coach Dave Oizerowitz, also known as Coach Oz, helped orchestrate an incredible season going 14-0 and winning a state championship. He prides his program on three principles: grit, accountability, and integrity. These three tenets embody his team and players by working not only on each player’s athletic ability and potential, but the person as well.
Historically, Coach Oz has worked and developed phenomenal players such as DL Thomas Carroll (Miami-FL), WR Ryshaun Conover (Rutgers), and DB Bryce Watts (Virginia Tech).
Toms River North High School over the past few decades has produced very talented players such as All-State OL Joe Ellis (Clemson), All-State DE Tony Zembruski (West Virginia), and All-State RB and Super Bowl Champion Darian Barnes (Hampton).
As we look ahead to the 2023 football season, here are 5 prospects we are looking forward to watching over the next few months as they seek back-to-back state championships

He is looking to make an even bigger impact on the field in his Junior season displaying all the hard work he has been doing this offseason, including participating in NUC Sports 7v7 event in February. Thomas will continue to rise up recruiting boards as he continues to work hard and improve his craft and fundamentals.

Anthony Rodriguez is a smart, cerebral player who understands tendencies, situations, and play concepts always putting himself in the right position to make play. He matches his intelligence by being a solid and reliable tackler. Watch his recruitment rise as he continues to further develop his game.
Josh Moore Josh Moore 5’10” | 185 lbs | RB Toms River | 2024 NJ is a quick running back who runs with a low center gravity and an overall natural runner. He shows good vision, awareness, and feel for running lanes as he always runs behinds his pads. Moore pairs his smooth running ability with good athleticism that makes him nightmare in the open field. Schools at the next level will have to add him to their board if he is not already.
Jeremiah Pruitt Jeremiah Pruitt 5’11” | 180 lbs | DB Tom’s River North | 2024 State NJ is a versatile player capable of making an impact in all facets of the game on offense and defense. He is a hard-hitting, rangy safety that makes offensive players uncomfortable running up the seam or across the middle against him. Against the run, Pruitt shows a knack for sifting through traffic to make a play on the ball carrier. On offense, he uses his speed and great ball skills always looking to make an impact in the passing game. As a rising Senior, expect him to continue to make a major impact on both sides of the ball for Toms River North High School.
