Who are some of the top players in the State of Idaho? Find out here with part 1 of our way to early players of the year in the 2A ranks:
Parker Moser
Parker Moser
Moser is one of the most versatile players in the state as the now senior combined for 1,782 all-purpose yards and 23 touchdowns last year for West Side. Moser has the ability to impact the game in a multitude of different ways whether it is out of the backfield, receiving or returning. Moser has game breaking ability in all aspects of the game with his natural speed and balance it allows him to break tackles while making defenders miss in the open space. He has elite vision that allows him to set up blocks and defenders with a really impressive second gear that allows him to explode through the offensive line and into the second level of the defense. Runs with a good forward lean and toughness not to go down on first contact. Should have a monster senior year for West Side.
West-Baranco is your true #1 wide receiver with the ability to go over the top of defenders and beat them with speed down the field. His school record breaking season where he had 1,001 yards receiving to go with 10 touchdowns the now senior was able to top it all off with an all state selection. He has elite abilities as he can really make a difference in the passing game. Natural route runner and pass catching ability allows him to dominate his competition. Shows good straight line speed that allows him to stretch the field and threaten safeties. Really has an advanced tool bag when it comes to press coverage and his ability to separate at the top of his route. Should have another all state year for Melba and will be in the conversation for Player of the Year.

Gavin Rasmussen Gavin Rasmussen 6'0" | 165 lbs | WR Delco | 2025 State ID
Rasmussen was the lone offensive sophomore to be name to the all state team last year. Rasmussen really showed his ability for Delco as he can do it all when it comes to playing wide receiver. His ability to play inside or out really gives him an edge over defenders as he is a huge matchup problem. Rasmussen has natural pass catching ability and does let the ball get into his body often. Shows good speed that will progress as he grows and continues to get in the weight room. Has a natural bend that allows him to get in and out of his breaks. Shows the ability to jump up and win contested 50/50 balls with yard after the catch ability. Rasmussen should be a name to watch out for as the now junior is going to be around for two more years and will be in the race for Player of the Year.
Bryson Crane
Bryson Crane
Crane will be one of the most intriguing prospects to keep and eye on this year. With more of a TE build the now senior can be used inline or flexed from the offensive line in order to make a difference for Bear Lake. He’s a strong player especially in the lower half and is hard to tackle. He has deceptive speed that allows him to run past defenders especially linebackers and safeties. Has a good ability to track the football through the air and has good body positioning that allows him to box out defenders. Big catch radius that allows his quarterbacks to just throw the football in his general direction. Should have another big year for Bear Lake and will be one to watch as a possible sleeper pick for Player of the Year.
