They are going to be in position to change the outcome of games. Before we get to the season, let’s look at five athletes who are in position to have those breakout seasons. All five are athletes to have on your radar for the next couple seasons as they prove to be next level players. Let’s get it started with one of the top WR/TE prospects in the class.
Emmett is the first athlete that jumped out when writing this article. His 6’5″ 205 lbs frame is just starting to fill out and add strength. He is very impressive at the catch point. His soft hands allow him to catch the ball away from his body. He also does a really good job of tracking the ball in the air and can contort his body to make the catch. Emmett just finds a way to come down with it. The long striding athlete can get deep and is able to go over defenders for the ball with that big catch radius. His concentration to make the catch in traffic also stands out. Keep an eye on Emmett. He is in line for a big year.

An athlete who looks to be in position to take over at QB for his team is the 6’2″ 170 lbs passer out of Reedsburg. Aiden is a decisive, accurate passer. He is able to get the ball out of his hands quick thanks to light feet and a sudden release. Aiden thrives in the quick passing game. Where he can attack the short to intermediate levels with spot on ball placement. Lastly, Aiden brings a dual threat ability to the field. He is able to hurt defenses with designed play calls for him to keep it. That athleticism has also allowed him to play safety. Look for him to put himself on the radar this fall.
Greenfield graduates multiple playmakers in 2023, especially on defense. One of the athletes that could be in line to make a big impact on the defense in 2023 is LB Vladimir Boyko Vladimir Boyko 6’2″ | 220 lbs | DL Greenfield | 2025 State WI . The 6’2″ 205 lbs current sophomore is hard to block. He stands out on the tape against JV opponents. His quickness off the line and hand use allowed him to put opposing linemen in bad situations. When he would engage the young athlete did a good job using his hands to get separation and disengage from the block. Boyko also seems to be a high motor player. He chases down plays and makes tackles outside the pocket. He could work his way into a varsity OLB spot with a great offseason.
Highlights
Kyle White
Kyle White
The 5’10” 180 lbs RB already rushed for nearly 500 yards on varsity as a sophomore. Yet he looks to be in position for an even bigger breakout this fall. There is a void of nearly 1,200 rushing yards left behind by graduating seniors. Kyle looks to be in position to take over a lot of that work. Kyle is a compact, power back. He sets the tone with his hard nosed running. White is also a patient runner. He gives his blocks time to develop. His instincts are strong too and allow him to see the field well. While he isn’t a burner, Kyle is able to use his patience and vision to create big plays. On top of it all, White is a reliable receiver out of the backfield. Look for him to be a three down threat this fall.
The 6’2″ 175 lbs QB looks like he will be in position to make a big impact in 2023. Of the four athletes who attempted a pass for Milton in 2022 Tyler is the only one not graduating. If he is in fact the next man up at the helm we could be in store for some exciting junior tape. Tyler has clean, quick footwork. He is very light on his feet and seems to keep his feet connected to his eyes. Those light feet also allow him to maneuver easily in the pocket. He doesn’t have a ton of film, but there are examples of what looks like an accurate arm. I’m excited to see the arm strength and to see how he leads the offense when he wins the job. He could be a fast riser when I get him in the rankings.
