Kaleb Perry is an athletic Defensive Back out of Cleveland Central that moves seamlessly fluid to be a 2025 prospect. Perry received a great amount of playing time in pivotal moments as a Sophomore last season. I am sure this season should be more of the same, but after gaining experience and more playing time, we will see an exponential rise in his overall game and productivity. Kaleb has exceptional ball skills, which were apparent from the interceptions he was able to amass. This kid simply has the ability to create plays when he is around the football. His only downside is that he gets lost in coverage at times in an attempt to read the eyes of the Quarterback. This is a blessing and a curse in terms of the skill set of Perry, simply due to his play-making ability. Kaleb is a willing tackler that can lay the wood and also deliver a technically sound blow to ball carriers. Kaleb Perry has tons of potential, and if he can add weight, fine tune his technique, and get a step or two quicker, look for this kid to be a trouble for Quarterbacks and Wide-outs this fall!
Jakel Irving Jakel Irving 6'3" | 210 lbs | LB Natchez | 2025 State MS | 2025 LB | Natchez | 6′3 210 | http://hudl.com/v/2JnjVd
Jakel is a 2025 prospect out of Natchez with a considerably ideal frame for a linebacker recruit, and he is only a Sophomore. The long armed line backer uses his speed and length to hunt down ball carriers and make plays defensively. Irving makes his money from how successful his blitz attempts are and creating havock in the backfield. He plays outside and inside backer, but I can see him comfortably fitting as an outside linebacker or edge rusher on the next level. Jakel is athletically gifted in terms of his lateral quickness and how well he changes directions to stifle defenders. He also has a physical presence in his game. Jakel understands how to attack with physicality and use his hands to shed would-be blockers. The thing that stood out the most, and I wrote this on my notes from his film, is that this kid can flat out run. Jakel Irving Jakel Irving 6'3" | 210 lbs | LB Natchez | 2025 State MS is a sleeper prospect that I can see blossoming in to a highly sought after recruit in about a years time. Remember, you heard it here first!
Jahmani Washington Jahmani Washington 6'2" | 195 lbs | LB Grenada | 2025 State MS | 2025 OLB | Grenada | 6′3 200 | http://hudl.com/v/2JJMqC
Mr. Washington is another guy in this piece with prototypical size relative to his position. The 6′3 Outside Linebacker weighs about 2 bills, and he carries his weight well! Jahmani’s athletic abilities are to be expected due to his track background combined with his stature. In track, Washington competes in the hurdles. This event requires a lot of plyometric movement (similarly to football), hence the correlation. On the gridiron, Jahmani is a physical linebacker and sure tackler for Grenada. He flies around and he is often near the football whether he is on the tackle, attempting to assist, or simply in pursuit. He is not a coverage linebacker necessarily, but Jahmani’s athleticism allows him to be able to hold his own when put into coverage situations. Overall, Jahmani Washington Jahmani Washington 6'2" | 195 lbs | LB Grenada | 2025 State MS still has some developmental milestones to hit, but I like what I am seeing from him, especially for a 2025 prospect. That staff at Grenada, I’m sure, will assist in expediting that process. By this fall, Jahmani will be a game changing defender that makes plays for his defense week in and week out. I can see him being a late bloomer despite what I have said. He is just getting started. Washington is going to have an exceptional Junior season, book it!
Jeremiah Gardner | 2025 OL | Shannon | 6′0 260 | http://hudl.com/v/2JmmBP
Jeremiah is a slightly undersized Offensive Lineman out of Shannon High School that I enjoyed watching and evaluating. Jeremiah Gardner is physical, he plays the game with great leverage and is violent at the point of attack. Gardner has good feet and a quick first step. These previous attributes mentioned all combine to ensure that offensive linemen play with good pad level. Jeremiah does just that. Gardner also works well with other in combo blocks leading up to the second level. Overall, he is technically sound as a run blocker and in pass protection. Jeremiah’s pass set, demeanor, and ability to redirect both surpass what most 10th grade linemen are capable of. Jeremiah’s only glaring deficiency is his snaps, which are sometimes displaced. However, this is an easy fix that can be improved with repetition and individual practice. I am excited to see if Jeremiah can grow into a desirable recruit for anyone here soon. Time will tell the tale.
Praize Moore | 2025 LB | Forest | 5′10 185 | https://www.hudl.com/profile/16533017/PJ-Moore
Praize Moore is a fast, disciplined, and physical linebacker out of Forest that is on his way to becoming a prospect that coaches and recruiters alike notice and seek out. Praize is a smart football player that understands defensive fronts and how to use his skill set to navigate them and make plays. He can cover, but Praize makes his money hunting down ball carriers in the trenches. Moore is slightly undersized, and he makes up for his stature with the athleticism, intensity, and his ability to process what he sees. He quickly assesses what he sees then flies to the football to make key tackles for that Bearcat defense on a regular basis. Praize was a top 3 tackler for Forest as a Sophomore last season. This off-season Praize will get bigger, faster, and stronger. After fully developing and growing to his frame, PJ will be a force to be reckoned with in 4A. I know this for a fact.
