Today, we will continue to break down the offensive side of the ball, continuing our focus on the top passing weapons in the state. After my last positional breakdown, here’s my list of the top 2025 quarterback prospects in the state of Kentucky to watch for next season.
Cutter Boley Cutter Boley 6'5" | 200 lbs | QB Lexington Christian Academy | 2024 State KY , a 6-foot-5, 208-pound quarterback out of Lexington Christian Academy, had an explosive sophomore campaign with the Eagles last year as he was the top passing machine in the entire Bluegrass State. In 13 contests, Boley recorded 254 completions out of 400 attempts for 3,901 yards and 36 touchdowns. In addition to the edge his size and speed provides, Boley has an efficient up-tempo playstyle, great arm strength and accurate passing. The rising junior will definitely be a top quarterback prospect in the state to keep an eye on this upcoming season.

Deuce Bailey Deuce Bailey 6'1" | 170 lbs | QB Bowling Green | 2025 State KY , a 6-foot-1, 165-pound quarterback out of Bowling Green High School, was nearly unstoppable at the helm of the Purples’ offense last year. As a sophomore in the 2022 campaign, Bailey became one of the top passers in the state of Kentucky, recording 221 completions out of 360 attempts for 3,136 yards and 34 touchdowns. What makes Bailey such an efficient gunslinger is his overall speed and arm strength as he can make quick passes and complete deep shots down the field. Bailey will be a huge offensive performer to watch closely next season.

LaBryant Strader LaBryant Strader 6'2" | 225 lbs | QB Ashland Blazer | 2025 State KY , a 6-foot-2, 230-pound quarterback out of Ashland Paul G. Blazer High School, was an efficient and accurate passing weapon during his sophomore season with the Tomcats. In 14 contests, Strader became one of the most impressive gunslingers in the state, recording 137 completions out of 230 attempts for 2,153 yards and 18 touchdowns. Strader is such a solid quarterback because of his arm strength and accuracy as he showcased his ability to launch darts down the field all season long. Strader will be a unique player to watch in the 2023 campaign.

Bryce Button Bryce Button 6'2" | 195 lbs | QB South Warren | 2025 State KY , a 6-foot-3, 180-pound quarterback out of South Warren High School, was a huge offensive playmaker during his sophomore season with the Spartans. In 12 contests last year, Button became one of the best gunslingers in the entire state, recording 168 completions out of 272 pass attempts for 2,021 yards and 16 touchdowns. Button showcased his quick decision-making, arm strength and accuracy under center for the Spartans’ offense. The rising junior will be another quarterback prospect to watch for in the 2023 season.
Isaac Duty Isaac Duty 6'5" | 215 lbs | QB Pikeville | 2025 State KY , a 6-foot-5, 215-pound quarterback out of Pikeville High School, provided a huge offensive edge under center for the Panthers last season. During his sophomore stint of high school football, Duty picked up 98 completions out of 144 attempts for 1,506 yards and 21 touchdowns. What makes Duty so dangerous is his overall composure, field awareness, speed and size. Duty also has a strong arm and a solid passing game as he can connect with his receivers anywhere on the field. The rising junior should be an interesting quarterback to watch later this year.

Blaze Berry Blaze Berry 6'2" | 200 lbs | QB Eminence | 2025 State KY , a 6-foot-2, 195-pound quarterback out of Eminence High School, was a crucial piece to the Warriors’ success on the offensive side of the ball last year. In just seven games, Berry led the team in passing, recording 125 completions out of 228 attempts for 1,720 yards and eight touchdowns. Berry plays with great toughness and intensity, has excellent arm strength, great accuracy and efficient speed on the ground. Berry will certainly be an offensive prospect to watch this upcoming season.

Michael Powell Jr Michael Powell Jr 6'0" | 200 lbs | QB Owen County | 2025 KY ., a 5-foot-10, 180-pound quarterback out of Owen County High School, made valuable offensive contributions in six contests during his sophomore year of high school football. At the helm of the Rebels’ offense last year, Powell collected 30 completions out of 67 attempts for 294 yards and four touchdowns. In addition to his ability to beat defenses on the ground, Powell has great field awareness and composure, showcasing his ability to complete deep passes down the stretch. The rising junior quarterback will be an intriguing gunslinger to watch in the 2023 campaign.
