Here is a look at a few of the top 2024 players who were in attendance.
Jacobi Oliphant
Jacobi
Oliphant
6'4" | 180 lbs | DB
St. Louis University | 2024
State
MO
| 6’4″ 200 | DB | SLUH/Elite Speed |
The rangy defensive back Oliphant covers a lot of ground with his length and speed on defense in pass defense. He did the same for his Elite Speed team making it hard for receivers to get open and make catches while helping his 7v7 win the Show-Me Shootout 18U championship. Jacobi can play corner, safety or linebacker and combines track speed with good cover skills. He has several D1 offers already and is getting looks from more schools including Missouri recently.
Myles Carson | 6’3″ 175 | WR | Rockhurst/Epic 7 |
Carson had one of the highlight reel catches of the tournament for a touchdown that I witnessed. He’s a tall target at 6’3″ and runs really nice routes displaying good quickness and change of direction. He has good speed and really good hands and concentration on the catches he makes. Myles does a nice of of battling and coming out on top for contested balls.
Dennis Able | 6’1″ 175 | WR | Riverview Gardens/Team Takeover |
One of the top unheralded receiver prospects in the 2024 class. Able is a big play waiting to happen and is a go-to receiver when his team was in need. He is a combination of speed and quickness, and lays out for the tough catches as well as shows good ability to run after the catch and make people miss. He was one of the 18U TTO top performers after having a breakout season for his high school Rams team as their leading receiver. He’s a player more colleges need to take notice of over the spring and summer.
Antwon McKay | 6’2″ 185 | QB | Cardinal Ritter/ Team Takeover |
McKay is one half of the two-headed passing attack for the state champion Lions this past season and has looked just as good for his Team Takeover 7v7 squad so far. Antwon is an athletic signal caller with a live arm and fires the ball in there with good accuracy. He made good decisions keeps his squad in contention most games using his skills he has. It’s no wonder that Northern Iwa has offered him and other colleges are looking at his continued progress this spring and summer.
Keynon Johnson | 6’4″ 210 | LB | Truman/Epic 7 |
Keynon pulled double duty this weekend in St. Louis competing in the Elite Football combine on Saturday and also playing for his Epic 7 squad. What was impressive was his ability to turn and run in pass coverage along with his speed he displayed. While he missed a pick I saw he also came back and did a nice job on a pass break up down in the end zone using good closing speed and hands to knock the ball away at the last second. He looks to have complete linebacker skills colleges look for. I know multiple schools including Missouri are showing him interest.
