sophomore running back from Hamburg, Arkansas because of his speed and power. He is potentially going to be one of the best running backs to come out of the state of Arkansas. Nikel also runs track and plays basketball but mainly has a goal of being the best Runningback to come out of the state.
Nikel is 5’9, 200 pounds with 4.43 speed in the 40 yard dash. He also plays linebacker. Nikel has a 3.5 GPA. He bench presses 300 pounds and squats 530 pounds with the combination of power and speed. Nikels goal for this coming season is to prove what he can do running the football behind a good offensive line with a team goal of winning a state championship.
What separates him from other running backs in the state is him being a physical back to either run past you or over you and put the offense in the best possible situation. He says his family motivates him to be the best that he can be. Nikel always runs the ball with a chip on his shoulder. As a sophomore this coming season thus far he has heard from Louisiana-Monroe and UAPB with many others yet to come.
Nikel’s strengths are his speed, power and vision. When asked what else that he can tell about himself is that school comes first and everything else will fall into place. He shows his leadership by making everyone accountable while encouraging his teammates. What Nikel loves about playing football is playing the game and the team bonding while making his family environment better.
What inspires Nikel is his coaches because they push him to be the best and sets him up for success by higher standards. Nikel is planning on attending camps this coming summer at the University of Arkansas, Mississippi State and the University of Central Arkansas Mega Camp with others possible. Head Coach Blake Johnson says that Nikel is a phenomenal talent but he isn’t only physically blessed but puts in the work from 5:30 am workouts during basketball season to coming in on the weekends for extra field work.
He says that Nikel has grinded to be the player that he is today. Coach Johnson says that he is looking forward to big things from Nikel not only running the ball but also at linebacker.
My scouting evaluation is that I feel that Nikel has the talent and the mindset to accomplish whatever he sets his mind to and end up being one of the best Runningbacks to come out of the state of Arkansas and to move on to the next level.
