I'm inspired by the underdog story. The hungry dogs that gets overlooked because of their height, weight or just don't pass the eye test, is why I do this. I hooked up with the CEO of RecruitNE_GA, Coach D. He gave me tons of information and some insights on who are those underdogs in Georgia. Let's dive in!

Bartez Gillespie - CB - Clarke Central HS / @BartezJr

Gillespie quickly triggers downhill against short passes and the run to make a play. He makes his fair share of one-on-one tackles in space. In man coverage, he displays excellent patience early in the stem to avoid false steps and stay connected to the receiver. Gillespie does a good job staying attached to receivers on crossing routes over the middle of the field. He's a baller!

[player_tooltip player_id='407502' first='Memphis' last='Huff'] - DE - East Jackson HS / @MemphisHuffDE

Huff has large, active, and violent hands that pack some pop. He frequently gets his hands up for pass breakups and uses them to attack and swat the tackle's hands. Huff has the strength to play through contact in a half-man rush around the edge. He plays with natural leverage and primarily relies on a bull rush. However, he also uses a swim move. Huff compresses the line on inside runs and scrapes down the back of the offensive line to the running back. His motor runs hot, and he overwhelms blocking tight ends.

Elijah Ling - WR - Jackson County Comprehensive HS / @ElijahLing_

Ling can easily change pace in his route tempo. Sudden hips to sink in and out of breaks, making speed-outs or hinge concepts look easy. Shows the ability to separate vertically when placed in one-on-one situations to the boundary. He wins off the line of scrimmage and stacks corners while tracking the ball over his shoulder.

Kobi Blackwell - RB/CB - Buford HS / @_Kobiblackwell

Blackwell would be best-suited in a zone run scheme at the next level, so he can take full advantage of his one-cut and go style. Once he hits the second level, Blackwell has enough shiftiness to make a defender miss in the open filed when needed and his low center of gravity makes it tough to stop his momentum. He is expected to have a breakout year this year!

Revis McClairen III - CB - River Ridge HS / @RevisMcClairen

McClarien has quick feet, a low backpedal, and little to no tightness in his hips. His speed allows him to carry receivers vertically. McClarien is sticky on these vertical routes and showcases nice recovery speed. He has the athleticism to mirror receivers early in the route. This kid is sticky and has lockdown capability!
