Review:
After coming off a year where the Hawks made the first round of the playoffs they were back again this year except with a higher seed. The Hawks are program that are on the up and coming after going 2-7 in 2019, the program has gotten better each year going 3-5 (2020), 5-5 (2021) and then making their biggest leap this year at 7-3. With a host of seniors that are now leaving the program the Hawks have earned the right to be a team on our watch list for next season to make another jump. Using an offense with a senior signal caller that was able to really lead his team this year and a running back that was another all conference players these Hawks were able to really beat teams up with their run game. The offensive line was dominate in opening up huge running lanes for their star at running back. With a group of wideouts who were able to keep defenses honest. On the defensive side of the football the Hawks used swarming defense in order to overwhelm their opponents. Solid in all phases on the defensive side of the ball the Hawks were able to use their solid tackling and opportunistic turnovers to their advantage. With stars at every level of the defense it made it very hard to beat the Hawks. Their front seven was the heart and soul of their defense with a solid defensive line and rangy linebackers they were effective run stoppers with a backend that really complimented the group. The Hawks are a program that everyone should look out for as they look to get out of the first round next season.
