Who are they? Let’s take a look…
Thomas Blackshear Thomas Blackshear 6'2" | 185 lbs | WR Benedictine | 2025 State GA – Benedictine
A twitchy receiver who knows how to pick up big yards after the catch, Blackshear is coming off an excellent sophomore season for the state-champion Benedictine Cadets, catching 41 passes last season for 641 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has plenty of size and length at 6-foot-2 190-pounds and flashed D1 talent on a consistent basis last year. He was a reliable option in the passing game all year long and shows the ability to stretch the field and make plays in the screen game. He’s quick, explosive, and has a knack for finding the end-zone. An easy addition to the latest rankings, Blackshear now comes in at No. 125 in the state, but his ranking will likely increase more and more with each update. Now playing at Calvary Day, look for thee Savannah native to have a gigantic junior season in 2023.
Jamauri Brice Jamauri Brice 5'10" | 175 lbs | WR Cartersville | 2025 State GA – Cartersville
A true under the radar wideout in North Georgia playing at an impressive Cartersville program, Brice is an explosive receiver who is finally starting to see his recruitment take off, earning recent offers from Georgia Souther, Austin Peay, among others. He made a big impact as a sophomore last year and did it for one of the top programs in all of North Georgia. The 5-foot-10 170-pounder was as good as it gets in the 2025 class last year, coming in 3rd in receiving yards among all sophomores last year with 850 receiving yards. However, what he does best is find the end-zone. Brice was a scoring machine throughout the year, catching a touchdown pass in six different games. He’s dangerous after the catch, has above average speed, and has great body control in the air. It was an easy decision to add him to the Prep Redzone rankings, and now he comes in at No. 40 in the state for the 2025 class.
DJ Avery DJ Avery 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR Chattahoochee | 2025 State GA – Chattahoochee
A young playmaker in Fulton County who knows how to run and get behind the defense, Avery is a dependable vertical threat who will only get better and better over the next two seasons. Avery flashed D1 potential on a consistent basis all season long last year as a sophomore and ended his productive season with 63 receptions for 840 yards and five touchdowns. A promising route-runner and a natural pass-catcher at 6-foot-0 185-pounds, Avery does a great job of catching the ball over his shoulder. It was a tough season for Chattahoochee overall, but Avery was a bright spot all season long. He ended the season on a strong note, catching 19 passes for 241 yards and two touchdowns in his final two games of the season. He’s a true breakout candidate for the 2023 season as a junior, and now ranked in the latest 2025 update as the No. 46 overall prospect in Georgia and the No. 6 WR prospect.
Marshall Pritchett Marshall Pritchett 6'5" | 205 lbs | WR Rabun Gap | 2025 State GA – Rabun Gap
One of the most productive 2025 WRs in North Georgia last year, Pritchett has plenty of size and was a big target in the passing game last year as a sophomore. At 6-foot-5 210-pounds, Marshall has dependable hands and knows how to create separation down the field. An excellent route-runner for his size, Pritchett is coming off a terrific sophomore season, catching 52 passes for 900 yards and 9 touchdowns. He’s long, athletic, technically sound, and gets open with ease against defensive backs in the area. Now ranked as the No. 50 prospect in Georgia in the latest 2025 update, Pritchett has a high ceiling and could see some serious D1 interest and possible offers come his way if he continues to work hard and develop over the next two years.
