Continue ReadingJakel Irving Jakel Irving 6’3″ | 210 lbs | LB Natchez | 2025 State MS is a well built Linebacker out of the 2025 class that is easily a top 10 player, positionally, in his class. Here of late, the 210 pound 6-foot 3 prospect has started to catch the eyes of programs in the southeast region. Irving is everything you want out of a linebacker prospect, so I can see why his recruitment has began to pick up! He is fast, he hunts the ball extremely well, and he can also get after the passer on situational blitzes as well as off the edge. Jakel participated in the Magnolia Future Elite game where he was able to put up two sacks. It was a normal day at the office for Irving. The 2025 prospect put up 15 sacks as a Sophomore. Irving is a prospect with a high ceiling that will surely improve on his speed, strength, and IQ over the couple of years. He is set to visit Ole Miss next week, and I’m sure other programs will fall in line! Look to hear this kids name a lot more with camp season approaching.
Xavier Gayten Xavier Gayten 6’0″ | 190 lbs | RB Brookhaven | 2024 State MS is a prospect out of the 2024 class that I can see picking up several offers within the next year. Gayten is a running back with break away speed, great vision, and exceptional body control. His 4.4 speed translates well onto the field and he can turn on the jets to accelerate past defenders at a moments notice. Rightfully so as he rushed for over 1500 yards last season. You combine that type of speed and athleticism with his 6’0 180 pound frame and you get the prototypical running back prospect. Gayten has begin to turn heads with his recent performances at combines and showcases such as Southern Elite. So far this year he has went on a few visits to major programs in the state and also received an offer from Southern Miss. Look for Xavier to gain a decent following in the coming months and especially later on this fall.

I have been following Silas Corder Silas Corder 6’1″ | 210 lbs | QB Pascagoula | 2025 State MS for a minute now and his recruitment is starting to take off, at the right time if I may add. The 2025 QB prospect was able to put some impressive things on tape in his Sophomore season and he is just getting started. Silas sees the field well, has polished footwork and mechanics in the pocket, and he can just about make any throw that he wants, which is rare at his age. He is able to effectively get through his progressions due to his fast processor, quick release, and timely decision making. Here recently Silas has been invited to camps and workouts to showcase his arm talent. Silas possesses the athletic and mental capabilities that most coaches want from their QB1. Miami (OH), Nichols State, Furman University, Kansas State, Eastern Kentucky, and several other programs are looking to connect with Silas and have invited him to their campus’s. Corder is also set to visit and attend a Spring practice at Ole Miss next week as well. I predict that Silas will get the attention he deserves this off-season, and follow up with performances to back it up this Summer and Fall. Book it.

Antonio Ross Jr.
Antonio Ross Jr.
Antonio Ross Jr. is an absolute unit out of Hartfield that has been racking up offers in the past couple of months. In 2023 alone this kid has received offers from Wright State, Mississippi Valley, Jackson State, Alcorn, and a couple Junior Colleges (Coahoma & Southwest). Ross stands just over 6’4 and weighs nearly 340 pounds, but don’t let the measurements fool you, he moves well for his size. As a Junior, Ross was able to efficiently and effectively move people around seamlessly to create creases for his backs. He plays a bit high at times, but his strength, size, and athleticism make up for it. Ross’s technique isn’t to shabby either, his pass sets and run fits alike are both impressive. As of late, programs within the state and abroad are high on the 2024 prospect. Antonio has been to Junior days and visits at: Mississippi State, Florida State, Louisiana-Monroe, and few others. He is set to visit Southern Miss and Oklahoma in April, and he will be in Starkville visiting Mississippi State again on the 30th. Antonio has been polishing his technique and putting in work this off-season. Look for the offers and visits to continue to roll in for this 2024 stud.
Taccofah Lewis Taccofah Lewis 6’4″ | 270 lbs | OL Pearl | 2024 State MS is a prospect that most coaches would love to have in their position group. The 2024 prospect is the #2 Offensive Lineman in his class and ranked 18th in the state overall. Taccofah is a smart, technician of an Offensive Lineman with great strength that loves to punish the opposition. He is very athletic and he moves that 6’4, 285 pound frame with ease. Lewis has a strong core, lower body, and excellent grip strength. These are a few of the attributes that make the 3-Star prospect one of the best of the best within the trenches in the state. Here recently Taccofah’s already hot recruiting trail has sky-rocketed. Lewis has visited Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Georgia, South Alabama, Tulane, FAMU, and others in the past month or two. Just as many programs have also pulled the trigger on him as well. Lewis has received offer from Memphis, Alabama State, Tulane, Louisiana-Lafayette, Akron, Jackson State, Southern Miss, Mississippi Valley, and Bethel. The offers have and will continue to pour in for Taccofah Lewis Taccofah Lewis 6’4″ | 270 lbs | OL Pearl | 2024 State MS as time passes on. The sky is the limit for this underrated 3-Star, mark my words.
