March 2023: 2024 New Additions

Seeing new additions and names added to the Prep Redzone Arkansas rankings is one of the best parts of the updates. We have updates several times a year and it allows us to make changes and add new names to the list. In today's article we are going to focus on several new names that are a part of the March update. All are prospects that you are going to want to pay attention to over the next few months.   [player_tooltip player_id='588686' first='Kaleb' last='Garner']-Linebacker-Greenwood-5'10” 185-Pounds   The Greenwood Bulldogs have a talented roster on both sides of the football returning for the 2023 season. Last season, [player_tooltip player_id='588686' first='Kaleb' last='Garner'] had a tremendous season for the Bulldogs. He racked up on 86 tackles on the season. Garner has good speed and does an impressive of defeating blocks and hauling down the ball carrier. The Greenwood linebacker is a new addition to the Prep Redzone Arkansas 2024 prospect list and is a player I expect to have a big 2023 football season.   [player_tooltip player_id='667086' first='Jayden' last='Smith']-Running Back-White Hall-5'9” 185-Pounds   [player_tooltip player_id='667086' first='Jayden' last='Smith'] is a running back to watch out for in the class of 2024. The White Hall running back has a nose for the end zone. Smith is a receiving threat out of the backfield and is dangerous in the open field. He has good vision and does an impressive job of allowing the rushing lane to develop before exploding through the hole. Smith had a strong season in 2020 and I look for that trend to continue into 2023. Both White Hall and Smith have the potential to have a strong 2023 football season.   [player_tooltip player_id='623623' first='Landon' last='Morgan']-Offensive Line-Camden Fairview-6'1” 275-Pounds   An offensive lineman in the class of 2024 to watch out for is [player_tooltip player_id='623623' first='Landon' last='Morgan'] with Camden Fairview. Last season, Morgan had a dominating performance working on the Cardinal offensive line. He racked up 28 pancake blocks on the season and ended the season with a 95% blocking percentage on the season. Morgan uses his quickness well to sustain his blocks. Camden Fairview does an excellent job of producing quality offensive linemen and Morgan is the next one with the potential to play on Saturdays in the future.   [player_tooltip player_id='631619' first='Jace' last='Birkes']-Wide Receiver-Lincoln-5'10” 195-Pounds   [player_tooltip player_id='631619' first='Jace' last='Birkes'] is a wide receiver that has a knack for making big plays for the Wolves. Birkes can turn a short gain into an explosive one in the blink of an eye. He does a great job of running crisp routes and creating separation from opposing defensive backs in the process. Birkes ability to stretch the field is something that scouts will want to keep an eye on over the next few months. Birkes is a prospect that has the potential to play on Saturdays in the future.   [player_tooltip player_id='639420' first='Marquaze' last='Parker']-Defensive Line-West Memphis-6'3” 250-Pounds   The West Memphis defensive lineman is one of the most impressive pass rushers in the state of Arkansas. Parker has good speed and he mixes it well with his strength. The West Memphis defensive lineman does a great job of rushing the passer; however, he is impressive at being able to disrupt the opposing rushing attack. With scholarship offers from UNLV and Arkansas-Pine Bluff to his credit, I expect Parker to have another strong season in 2023.   [player_tooltip player_id='636277' first='Oquoieah' last='Earl']-Wide Receiver-Beebe-6'4” 178-Pounds   [player_tooltip player_id='636277' first='Oquoieah' last='Earl'] is a prospect that always seems to know exactly where he is at on the football field. Earl has impressive body control and his athletic ability helps make every ball catchable. He has the speed to keep the opposing defense honest. Arkansas State and Arkansas-Pine Bluff have extended scholarship offers Earl's way. I expect Earl to continue to open plenty of eyes over the next few months. He is a wide receiver that has a knack for making big plays and he could take that to talent to Saturdays in the future.   [player_tooltip player_id='672425' first='Scotty' last='Dobbins']-Defensive Line-West Memphis-6'0” 250-Pounds   West Memphis has an extremely talented defensive unit that should cause opponents plenty of problems next season. [player_tooltip player_id='672425' first='Scotty' last='Dobbins'] is a versatile defensive lineman that can play the edge or move inside and play one of the tackle spots. He has impressive quickness and can defeat blocks using his speed. However, Dobbins has the strength to force the opposing offensive lineman out of his position. Dobbins is another prospect that has the potential to see playing time on Saturdays in the future. Keep an eye on this talented prospect this upcoming season.
