With the national signing day for the class of 2024 rapidly approaching, the time for the class of 2025 is soon to follow. With that in mind, here are some athletes in the class of 2025 to get acquainted with as they are next up in the recruiting landscape.
Rockford Lutheran’s John Behmer John Behmer 6’2″ | 190 lbs | LB Rockford Lutheran | 2025 IL is a young utility player with an impressive frame. Playing both outside linebacker and slot receiver, John is about as dynamic of an athlete as you can find at this level. John plays well in space and has no problem tracking the ball off the edge. With his size and strength, John can track a ball down with no problem and finish the job with strong tackling capabilities. From what I can tell, John is a relentless competitor and will always find a way to get to the ball. With the tremendous upside that I see in him, I am incredibly excited to watch him perform heading into the next season.

Jacob Bell Jacob Bell 6’3″ | 190 lbs | QB Naperville North | 2025 State IL is one of the stronger arms I have seen in this class so far. The Naperville North Product showed off some flashy playmaking skills last season in his sophomore campaign. Jacob has a quick throwing motion that allows him to get the ball out on time while protecting himself from pass rushers. He has also shown to have strong poise in the pocket by taking some hits without compensating for his throwing motion. Overall, there is so much that this kid is capable of on the football field. As he grows in the game of football, I am sure he is going to continue to climb quarterback boards around the state.

Deshaun Williams Deshaun Williams 6’2″ | 205 lbs | RB Naperville Central | 2025 State IL , running back for St. Francis, is another really impressive athlete to consider in this class. With him already picking up an offer from Central Michigan, it is clear that there are some big-time programs out there that think very highly of him. With his incredible speed, DeShaun is always going to be one of the fastest dudes on the field. His speed creates an extra layer of versatility in his game. Based on my evaluation, I believe that you could put DeShaun anywhere on the field and he will produce some big numbers for your program. If DeShaun keeps this up, he is going to end up being one of the most sought-after athletes in the state.

Nathaniel Marshall Nathaniel Marshall 6’5″ | 260 lbs | DL Fenwick | 2025 State IL is another incredibly impressive athlete that plays for Fenwick High School. With some impressive accolades collected so early on in his career, it is no surprise to see that he has already collected a multitude of Power 5 offers. Nate is one of the best pass rushers that I have seen so far. With his pure explosion off the ball, and his toolbox of pass rush moves, it is obvious as to why he gets into the backfield so easily. Nate is also an incredible tackler who can get the ball out and force fumbles as well. Nate has proven very early on that he is going to be a force at the high school level in the next couple of years. If he keeps this up, he might just collect an offer from every Power 5 school in the country.
The St. Ignatius athlete, Jack Wanzung Jack Wanzung 6’0″ | 190 lbs | ATH St. Ignatius | 2025 State IL , is another absolute force to be reckoned with on the field. At quarterback, Jack can sling the ball around the yard as good as anyone, and is also a force on the ground. As a runner, Jack has the speed to escape any rush that comes his way. On designed runs, Jack is very skilled at finding running lanes on the go and exploiting them. Throughout his higlight tape, Jack has proven that he can play a plethora of different positions at a high level, which only increases his recruiting stock. If Jack keeps this up, there is no telling where he might end up. With his athleticism, the sky is truly the limit for him.
Highlights
Ethan Toosley Ethan Toosley 6’0″ | 270 lbs | OL Lincoln Way Central | 2025 IL of Lincoln Way Central is becoming one of the better offensive linemen in this class. The trench warrior seems to have the skill set to succeed at the varsity level very early on in his career. Ethan is a technician on the offensive line, everything he does seems to be done very methodically and effectively. With him being a ferocious puller and excellent down blocker, Ethan is one of the most productive run-blocking specialists that I have seen. Ethan is also very strong in pass protection. With his patience and footwork, he makes it very hard for his opponents to get to the quarterback. From everything that I have seen from Ethan, I can confirm that this is a kid that everyone should have their eyes on going into next season.
Rock Island’s Keyonte Farrow Keyonte Farrow 6’2″ | 195 lbs | DL Rock Island | 2025 IL is another defensive linemen to keep tabs on heading into next season. From what I have seen from him so far, he is another kid who has shown tremendous upside in his future with football. With him predominately playing on the defensive ball, Keyonte is a proven tackler with high playmaking cpability. Keyonte has strong lateral speed that allows him to effectively persue the ball when its being carried to the edge. Keyonte is a high effort kid who does everything that he can to be in on every play when he is on the field. With everything that I have seen from him, I am expecting big things to come from his career as a high school football player.
