Today, we’re looking at stock risers on the offensive line. These guys aren’t a finished product just yet, but I do think they are developing well and will put out some quality film this fall.
As always, If you have someone you think I need to see, please DM them to me on Twitter at @hsfbscout!
Brady Barrowman Brady Barrowman 6'5" | 275 lbs | OL Minooka | 2024 State IL 6’6″ 260, Minooka, 2024
An easy mover that can set to wide rushers with swift feet, but also finish off second-level run blocks. He’s got a ton of raw upper-body strength that can be utilized and has a compact punch with consistent placement on the breastplate. If he focuses on trusting his lower half & winning with his feet first, I think this kid could have a monster senior season and see his recruitment take that next step.
Tyler Chambers Tyler Chambers 6'5" | 280 lbs | OL Lyons Township | 2025 IL , 6’5″ 250, Lyons, 2025
Chambers saw varsity action as a sophomore and showed some serious upside on tape. He’s got prototypical size for a tackle, is quick out of his stance for early arrival in pass protection, and stays hip-to-hip with his linemate on double teams. His eyes stay focused on the point man when doubling and he will quickly work off his man to help secure second-level running lanes.
Rhett Vanboening Rhett Vanboening 6'3" | 260 lbs | OL Libertyville | 2025 State IL 6’3″ 255, Libertyville, 2025
Rhett has the bloodlines as his father played power-five football and his brother recently signed with Eastern Michigan. This is a center through and through, that shows exceptional body control, can easily block back on three techniques and can generate major torque as a striker. He plays with a bit of an edge to him and you’ll constantly see his knees driving vertically as a run blocker. Look for him to hit the weights hard this off-season & watch him reap the benefits in 2023.
Joe Rodi, 6’4″ 230, Benet, 2025
Rodi has a projectable frame he should be able to fill out, he can reach five techniques to create clear running lanes and plays with a chip on his shoulder. He moves like a deer in pass protection, will shoot his hands late, and has a heavy inside hand against retracing defensive linemen. The key for Joe will be adding weight, if he can put on another thirty pounds before graduating, I think his offer list will skyrocket.
Jimmy Donnelly, 6’3″ 280, Notre Dame College Prep, 2024
The first thing that pops out to you on tape is the sheer grip strength, once Jimmy locks his paws on you, there’s no getting away. This is a nasty prospect for the next level with the ability singe on the backside of gap scheme runs and can get out & pull to the perimeter. This kid played in 2022 with a club on his hand, yet still was able to produce a mass amount of knockdowns. To me, he’s a guard at the next level and has a plethora of tools to work with.
