Prep Redzone Kansas scouts have released updated rankings for the Class of 2024.

This scouting report highlights five players making their debuts in the rankings.

Each of them certainly will have visions of working their way up the ladder in off-season camps, clinics and combines.

In the beautiful words of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, “there ain't no mountain high enough,” so climb, men, climb.

[player_tooltip player_id='676211' first='Crew' last='Myers'], WR, 5'11”, 170, Blue Valley West (No. 114)

Myers is a solid-route runner with sure hands. During his junior season, he finished with 32 receptions for 491 yards. The Jaguar offense featured him in slip screens and end-around plays. In 2023 he will need to find the end zone more frequently to increase his stock.

[player_tooltip player_id='676210' first='Caden' last='Morgan'], QB, 6'3”, 165, Lacrosse (No. 149)

From the 8-Man ranks comes Lacrosse quarterback Cade Morgan. Morgan threw for 1,703 yards and 25 touchdowns during the 2022 campaign. He stands firm in the pocket and has a legit arm. Imagine what he would do with five blockers in front of him instead of three.

[player_tooltip player_id='582516' first='Jason' last='Strickland'], DL, 6'4”, 245, Blue Valley Southwest (No. 156)

Strickland might as well preorder his Brahma Bull tattoo now because he is a baby bull. The Blue Valley Southwest prospect is effective against the rush and the pass. By using his quickness and upper body strength he gets quick separation from offensive lineman. In simple words he is a handful to deal with and looks like a slam dunk Division II prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='676230' first='Casten' last='Wirth'], LB, 6'3”, 185, Lyndon (No. 157)

Wirth has never seen a ball carrier he didn't want to tackle. The Lyndon Tiger linebacker made 130 total tackles in his senior season, an especially large number for the 8-Man game. He reacts well, has solid instincts, and is strong. He could also play tight end and be a red zone option at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='675976' first='Chase' last='DuPont'], K, 6'3”, 165, Kapaun Mt. Carmel (No. 172)

Dupont received several accolades in 2022 and hopefully, he can use them as collateral to earn his way to college kicking career. DuPont can do it all with his leg, punk, kickoff, and kick for points. He went a perfect 48-for-48 in 2022 for Kapaun Mt. Carmel. Maybe one day his name will be on the same list as NFL Sunflower punters Scott Fulhage and Brian Moorman.
