As someone who coached a skilled position for most of my 15 years of coaching, looking at athlete positions in a recruiting class is a fun exercise. For this article, I am going to write about under-recruited 2024 athletes. These are players who have not gotten much attention as recruits from College Football coaches. Check it out below.

[player_tooltip player_id='305014' first='Asher' last='Wolfe'] Manheim Township. Wolfe is a very good prospect who played safety and wide receiver for Township. He is very good on offense at finding the hole in the defense and catching the ball then turning it up to make a play. He has a really good size at 6'3". He is very good on contested catches as he usually comes down with the catches. On defense, he has good balls skills and knocks down many passes thrown to receivers. His best attribute though at Safety is his tackling. He is a very good tackler and he does it by taking good angles and most of the time bringing the ball carrier to the ground. Wolfe is a good prospect and with a strong Senior year should get some real College Football looks.

[player_tooltip player_id='255800' first='Vance' last='Johnson'] Central (Philadelphia). Johnson is an interesting prospect to watch the film of. He played wide receiver and wildcat quarterback for Central High School. Johnson has elite-level speed. Once he gets into the open field he is gone to the end zone. He also has a great feel for the ball when he runs the ball. He knows exactly how to hit the hole and run with the ball. As a wide receiver, he gets in and out of his breaks very well. He is also very good at high-pointing a ball and making people miss. Finally with his elite speed he is very good in the return game. Johnson projects as a wide receiver in College and should get some serious looks in the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='255776' first='Dorian' last='McGhee'] Western Beaver. McGhee is a tall physical player who played wide receiver for Western Beaver. He is a very physical player and if a defensive player does not come up and wrap up McGhee he will run through them for a big play. He is very tall and physical wide receiving standing 6'2" and he plays like it. He is also sneaky fast. Many times on film defense players cannot catch him after he catches the ball. He has a catch radius and does a nice job exploiting it against the defense by making plays at wide receiver. Finally he is very good after the catch. McGhee's film is very impressive and I expect if he has a strong Senior year he should be able to play College Football.

[player_tooltip player_id='256299' first='Ethan' last='Kryman'] Daniel Boone. Kryman played outside linebacker, running back, and some slot wide receiver for Daniel Boone. Kryman is the type of player who is not afraid of contact. At linebacker, he flows very well downfield and then hits a player very hard. He has a knack for making the right read and then making the tackle. He is also a playmaker at linebacker by creating turnovers. On offense, he takes the same physical approach and runs through defenders while he is running the ball. Kryman is a physical football player who brings a tenacity to the football field every time.

[player_tooltip player_id='259535' first='Khameen' last='Powell'] Ridley. Powell is an underrated prospect that is a touchdown waiting to happen every time he touches the ball. He played wide receiver for Ridley and he was a play maker for them. 1st he is very good at catching the ball. He does a nice job catching the ball in traffic. Next he can make a big play every time he touches the ball. He is good on wide receiver screens, slants and any other short routes. He also can run most routes very well. Finally Powell is very good on vertical routes. He makes very difficult catches in tight coverage. Powell is a very good prospect.

https://twitter.com/Khameen_5/status/1597979907828908033?s=20

[player_tooltip player_id='558400' first='Dean' last='Hangey'] Downington West. Hangey is a playmaker for Downingtown West. He played outside linebacker and wide receiver for Downingtown West and he made plays. On defense he is very good at setting the edge and making sound tackles or forcing it inside. He is also good at creating turnovers and when they he has the return ability to make it an even bigger play. At wide receiver he is also a playmaker. He is very good on double moves. Several times on film he ran a hitch and go for big plays. He is also very good route runner that runs to the exact spot the quarterback wants him to be. He is also good at high pointing the ball on 50/50 balls. Finally Hangey is good returner who can help out on punt or kickoff returns. Hangey is a good prospect who just makes plays.
