For the next two articles, I am focusing on under-recruited prospects in the 2024 recruiting class. I am so excited about this article, so much talent in District 3. Here is part 2.
Highlights
Carson Swartz Carson Swartz 5'10" | 160 lbs | WR Carlisle | 2024 State PA Carlisle. Swartz played wide receiver for Carlisle last year. He is a very good athlete who has elite speed. Swartz just runs by defenders. Either through routes or after he catches the ball, he runs by players. He also has excellent hands. He also catches the ball well in traffic. Catching the ball in traffic is a very important skill for wide receivers and Swartz excels in it. Another key part of his game is his ability to run good routes. Swartz is really good on double moves. Several times on film he ran a slant and go and the defense had no clue. Swartz should only get better with more playing time.
Eugene Green Eugene Green 6'3" | 200 lbs | DL Steelton-Highspire | 2024 State PA Steelton-Highspire. Green played defensive end for Steelton-Highspire last year when they won the PIAA State Title for 1A. Green has great size for the position, standing 6’3″ tall. He is athletic and uses that athleticism very well. He is a playmaker at the defensive end, with Green constantly creating pressure on the quarterbacks. He also creates turnovers as well. In his film, I saw him recover and return 2 fumbles for touchdowns. He sets the edge very well. When he sets the edge he either forces the ball carrier inside or makes the tackle. Green also has a motor that never stops. He is constantly chasing down plays all the time. Finally Green has very good technique and specifically uses his hands very well on offensive linemen trying to block him. Green is a fluid good athlete that has lots of talent.
Jase Banco Jase Banco 6'0" | DL Trinity | 2024 State PA Trinity. Banco played defensive line for Trinity last year. Banco is very strong. He uses his strength and really good leverage to bully offensive linemen. Along with that leverage he has good technique. His 1st step out of his stance is really good and uses that step to get off the ball well. Banco also has a very good motor. He is constantly chasing down plays all over the field. Banco also rushes the passer well. He does a nice job getting around the edge and making plays in the backfield. Finally, he sets the edge very well at the defensive end. Banco is a very good player who should only get better.

RJ Gonzalez RJ Gonzalez 5'6" | 165 lbs | ATH Lancaster Catholic | 2024 State PA Lancaster Catholic. Gonzalez is a really good athlete that every time he touches the ball he can score a touchdown. Last year he played wide receiver for Lancaster Catholic, but he was good at kickoff returns. He constantly made huge plays on kickoff returns and several times in his film he returned kickoffs for touchdowns. Gonzalez has elite speed and when he gets into the open field he is gone. A wide receiver is a classic slot receiver in that he is very difficult to catch in the open field. He has good hands and catches the ball in traffic. Like the kickoff returns when he gets into open field he uses his athleticism to make a big play. Gonzalez is a very good prospect who should only get better next season.
Highlights
Aiden Schomp Aiden Schomp 6'6" | 230 lbs | TE Cedar Crest | 2024 State PA Cedar Crest. Schomp is a very interesting prospect that has a lot of skills for someone who has great size. Schomp stands 6’6″ and he uses that size to his advantage. He played tight end and defensive end for Cedar Crest. At tight end, he displayed the ability to catch the ball very well. He was a weapon in the passing game. Cedar Crest threw him all types of different passes and he showed the ability to run good routes and catch the ball very well. Plus after he catches it Schomp showed good speed to create big plays. At defensive end, Schomp shows good instincts and gets off the ball very quickly. He is good at attacking the offense and creating pressure. Schomp should get some serious College Football looks with his size and athleticism.
Amari Williams Amari Williams 6'2" | 200 lbs | LB Steelton Highspire | 2024 State PA Steelton-Highspire. Williams played linebacker for Steelton-Highspire on their way to a PIAA State Championship in 1A. Williams is super athletic and you see it in the way he plays. He is very good at reading and reacting and then getting downfield to make the play. He is an excellent tackle and uses his body well to secure a tackle. He also does a great job attacking different angles and chasing down plays from behind. He also played some defensive end, where he uses his athletic ability to pressure the quarterback. Williams is a very good prospect who should play College Football in the future.
Ryan Epps Ryan Epps 6'1" | 235 lbs | DL Harrisburg | 2024 State PA Harrisburg. Epps was the swiss army knife of the Harrisburg defense. He played linebacker, defensive end, and defensive tackle for Harrisburg. Epps is super athletic and it flashes all over the field. On the defensive line, he is super quick off the ball. Once the ball is snapped he is pushing the offensive lineman back and creates havoc. He has a very good first step out of his stance. Epps is also very good at using his hands to attack offensive linemen. As linebacker, he is good at reading and reacting to the offense. He is also very good at blitzing and creating pressure. When Epps is at defensive tackle he might be undersized, but he is so athletic and fast off the ball that he beats the lineman to the spot. Epps is a very impressive athletic player.
Alex Sauve Alex Sauve 6'0" | 195 lbs | LB Cumberland Valley | 2024 State PA Cumberland Valley. Sauve is a classic middle linebacker for Cumberland Valley. The first part of his game that stands out is his stance. He has a great stance. Then he reads and reacts to the play very well. He does a great job in the run of the game by attacking the blockers head on than making a play on the ball. Sauve is also good at dropping in pass coverage and then making a play on the ball. Several times in his film he got his hands on passes and knocked down passes. Lastly, Suave is a good tackler and made several tackles in the open field. Sauve should only get better at linebacker.
