Hunter Aquino Hunter Aquino 6'5" | 190 lbs | WR Academy of the New Church | 2024 State PA Wide Receiver Academy of the New Church.
1)Hunter you play High School Lacrosse and Football. What is the biggest difference between both sports? (Hunter is a highly regarded Lacrosse player).
1) I’d have to say the biggest difference that I see between the two is that with Lacrosse you constantly exert a hundred percent effort until a goal is scored. This can take seconds or last an entire quarter. Football is more of a controlled chaos that occurs between downs. I think the other key difference is that all ten players in lacrosse can touch the ball and can score which makes for some entertaining and exciting plays. I’m grateful to have played both and it’s going to be tough walking away from one after next year.
2) Can you talk about playing wide receiver as someone so tall? How much of a benefit has it been for you?
2) Obviously at 6’5” I feel like I have an advantage over smaller defensive backs. I’m really good at high pointing the ball and controlling my body while up in the air. I think one of my most underrated qualities is my long stride which makes me deceptively quick. My size is also an asset when asked to block defensive backs and linebackers on screens and during a run play.
3) Can you discuss how it is to catch passes from your brother Connor Aquino quarterback at Academy of New Church?
3) I absolutely love having my brother as my quarterback. I’ve been running routes for him in the back yard since we played flags. It sounds cliche but I know exactly what he’s thinking and vice versa. When you look up the definition of tough, smart and leadership in the dictionary that’s Conner. I wouldn’t want any other quarterback in the country.

4) Penn State is definitely my dream school. Most of my moms side of the family and my sister attended Penn State. It’s a great school and community.
