Continue ReadingThere has been a lot of guys who have been on the move this week attending camps. It is another week of us seeing this class excel. This is one of the best groups we have seen in a while. There are a lot of different positions that are getting recognition. Here are some guys had their film cross my eyes this week.
Rowdy Christensen, QB, Northport
Christensen definitely passes the eye test with his size. He also knows how to deliver the rock. Christensen does a great job of getting the ball out on time. He has a quick release. He is always finding the right receiver. Christensen also knows how to let the pocket protect him. He doesn’t put his offensive linemen in bad positions when he is on the move. I definitely think he is a division one quarterback. He looks good. I will definitely be keeping up with his progress.
Brayden Stinson, LB, Opelika
Stinson is a guy that has a lot of size. I think that he is a guy who is going to grow into an outside linebacker. Next season is going to be his chance to show who he is. He is a 6-foot, 190-pound kid with a lot of heart. He is gritty and loves contact. Stinson also has good hips. He doesn’t have much film, but I’ve seen him move and I’m a fan. I think that he will continue to grow into a nice prospect. Let’s keep up with him.
Zan Woody, DB, Valley
Woody is a safety who doesn’t mind coming up to make hits. He is a great run supporter on his team’s defense. Woody knows how to make solid tackles. He isn’t an arm tackler. He gets behind his pads and makes good blows. Woody doesn’t have many highlights of him making plays in the passing game. However, he is a multi sport athlete. He does a great job on the court. That shows the ability he could have in the secondary. He is one I will definitely be keeping up with.
Ja’Marion Broughton, Nickel/OLB, Alma Bryant
Broughton is a prospect who I am ready to keep up with. I think he is more of a strong safety. He has good hips and knows how to excel when in coverage. Broughton also does not mind coming up to make hits. I think his height is going to keep him from playing linebacker on the next level. He runs a 4.6 so he has decent speed. If he can get to a 4.5 he will see his stock rise. Broughton will be on my radar this season.
