I hooked up with the CEO of RecruitNE_GA, Coach D. He gave me tons of information and some insights on who are those underdogs in Georgia. Let’s dive in!
Garrett Hess – OL – Clarke Central High School / @ghess75_
Hess has good grip strength, plays with solid leverage, and displays good play strength. His punches pack some pop, and his active hands disrupt rush plans in pass protection. Hess has a physical demeanor that shows up in the run game. He frequently finishes defenders to the ground and generates displacement at the point of attack.
Jaden Cofer Jaden Cofer 5'9" | 180 lbs | WR Clarke Central | 2024 GA – WR/RB – Clarke Central High School / @CoferJaden
Cofer is a physical running back who has no trouble moving piles or lowering his shoulder to crush defenders in the hole. His burst surprises some defensive backs who quickly find themselves trailing Cofer. He has the strength to play through arm tackles, and his stiff arm is highly effective. Cofer executes subtle and quick open-field cuts well. He displays good vision and footwork, which are foundational parts of his game.
Maverick Schippmann – RB – South Forsyth High School / @Maverickschipp1
Schippmann is an experienced back with a good feel and rhythm in his running style. He displays good awareness, patience, and vision to identify open holes. By running with a low center of gravity, Schippmann possesses good balance and agility to stay on his feet, often gaining yards after contact.
Charles Nelson – RB – Redford Thurston High School / @__cn2x
Nelson has good feet with crisp cuts in the backfield. He’s fluid in tight spaces, making the initial tackler miss, often behind the line of scrimmage. Nelson has impressive versatility with the ability to cut back on zone schemes and follow his blockers on gap or power runs. He has the vision to find the crease and acceleration to burst through for big gains. Smooth in the open field with the ability to cut across the grain.
Jeremiah Gavin Hall Gavin Hall 5'10" | 190 lbs | QB Gainesville | 2024 State GA – ATH – Hebron Christian Academy / @Jghall12
Gavin uses an above-average key and diagnose to hold edge rushers in check in the read system. When they dive hard he has no problem taking the ball himself. He is fairly solid when it comes to running the ball in open space. He is able to make second-level defenders miss at a high rate. He has slightly above average accuracy when throwing on the move.
