Bosco has entered into our ranks as the number three defensive back in the 2024 class across Idaho, and is a two way star for Sugar-Salem coming off a tremendous Junior campaign. He is a very explosive athlete that is a natural ball carrier with a nice burst, contact balance and third level speed with cutback abilities and vision in tight windows. Defensively, he is a aggressive corner with good ball skills, natural instincts when jumping routes and fluid hips in transition that breaks well to ball carriers and is a solid open field tackler. He is a very balanced defender with next level abilities and is line for a monster Senior season and can play a variety of positions in college.
Lathen is a true free safety with range, open field speed and disciplined eyes when triggering on the ball. He shows he can break quickly while undercutting routes and can drop down in the box and help on the edge and takes good angles in the open field when tackling and brings a nice thump. He is a high motor player that explodes through contact and can go up and high-point the ball while also able to play man coverage and is a high IQ player in zone, often baiting quarterbacks into bad throws. Lathan checks in as a top five defensive back in the class and is a D-III+ player at the next level.
Freeman is a very technically sound corner with good feet, patience and the ability to play both press man coverage and off zone when needed. He shows quick hips in transition, a low hat in his pedal and breaks quickly to the ball with some recovery speed and length. He is not afraid to come up and set the edge in run support and can tackle in space while physical with his hands near the LOS. Freeman has a good chance to continue to shoot up our rankings as we approach the 2023 season and should be one of the regions best corners this Fall.
Harrell is a physical corner that plays a lot bigger than he looks, and shows tremendous ball skills and quick hips in transition when playing press man coverage near the LOS. He shows he has disciplined when playing off and breaks to ball carriers without taking false steps and can cover bigger receivers with a strong off hand punch. Downfield, he does a nice job at taking away the inside and using the sideline to his advantage while able to win on 50/50 ball contested matchups due to body positioning and timing.
