We see personnel packages contain five defensive backs and this has become the norm for some base defenses in college. Whether the defense calls for two or three linebackers, the five prospects below should have no problem playing all three downs at the next level.
Brayden Bush
Brayden Bush
Brayden Bush is a part of a dominant wrestling program and just won his first individual state title. Brayden has been on a game day visit to Drake and was invited to Augustana’s junior day. Brayden had over 150 tackles as a junior and averaged over eight yards per carry as a running back. You see Brayden’s defensive mentality in whatever sport he plays. Expect this physical linebacker not to be overlooked for long heading into his senior year.
Power and explosiveness gets displayed when Brayden knocks bigger offensive linemen off balance with his punch. Good acceleration shows as a blitzer, while physicality shows in Brayden’s full-speed finishes in the backfield. Coaches like Brayden’s quickness shown slipping blockers and the decisiveness with which he attacks windows in the run game.
Carter Enyard Carter Enyard 6’2″ | 220 lbs | LB MICDS | 2024 State MO is a rock at outside linebacker for MICDS. Carter’s size and athleticism make him a good MIKE linebacker prospect for the next level. Carter holds offers from UNLV & Western Illinois. He has visited Ball State multiple times and has also been to Miami of Ohio. Carter’s recruitment tells me he is in for a slew of calls from MVFC coaches and other regional schools before his career is over.
Next level power & athleticism shows shedding blockers and stopping outside runs before they hit the line of scrimmage. Good instincts show attacking playside bubble screens with urgency from an outside linebacker alignment. Carter is a good tackler whose natural instincts in the run game should help him make an easy switch off the ball.

Morgan Regot
Morgan Regot
Morgan Regot is easy to find wearing #1 for St. Charles West. Morgan received an invite to Illinois College’s Junior Day, but I am surprised he has not received any other regional attention. Morgan’s natural instincts, speed, and power are an ideal fit for today’s college linebacker.
Good awareness shows breaking on underneath routes with urgency from his curl zone. Next level closing speed shows pursuing ball carriers from a backside WILL alignment. Morgan’s physicality shows attacking the backfield as a blitzer, while good instincts show redirecting at the line of scrimmage when blitzes need to be aborted. College coaches love seeing Morgan’s size & speed fly around the field. Combine that with Morgan’s downhill attitude and coaches will be lining up in St. Charles West to recruit an ideal LB prospect.
Quincy Johnson Quincy Johnson 6’1″ | 195 lbs | LB Glendale | 2024 State MO is a versatile linebacker for Glendale. Quincy has been on an official visit to Arkansas. With good size, speed, pass rush experience, and instincts in coverage, coaches will look for Quincy to develop into a hybrid linebacker at the next level.
Coaches like the pass rush value Quincy displays rushing the quarterback from an outside linebacker alignment. Next level speed & athleticism show in Quincy’s ability to hold his spot at defensive end, change direction, and stop ball carriers before they hit the line of scrimmage on outside runs. Awareness and acceleration get displayed when Quincy pursues crossing routes with urgency in zone coverage.

Good closing speed shows breaking on the ball in pass coverage and attacking ball carriers on outside runs.
