Brown is a very explosive and disruptive pass rusher that is going to make the transition to linebacker at the college level. He has elite speed off the edge, natural bend and violence at the POA with his hands and hips. He is a no brainer top 10 defender in the state and rises up our rankings to the #6 defensive line spot. Brown has elite athleticism for the position and will be a impact player at the P5 level. He is slated to play his college ball at Arizona and will fit nicely in the Pac-12.
Highlights
Magnum is a no brainer top 20 prospect at his position within the state and offers some position versatility inside and on the edge due to his frame and athleticism. Violent at the POA, he has heavy hands, redirects quickly and can get off blocks while athletic enough to two-gap and collapse the pocket quickly. He shows good sudden movements when pass rushing and wins with power and leverage at the POA. West is signed to ASU and is a very nice get for the hometown Sun Devils.
Highlights
Orthmann is a true plug in the middle of the defense while showing good twitch in the short area and has ideal size for the position with long arms and explosive out of his stance while quickly shooting his hands and establishing inside placement in the run game. He should fit nicely inside at the next level and could see early action for NAU. Checking in just inside the top 20 defensive line rankings in our current update, he is very worthy of shooting up our rankings and one of the better interior defensive lineman across Arizona.
Boticello is one of the most under-recruited defensive lineman across the state in the 2023 class and is a very productive player with solid pass rushing abilities off the edge and plus length with the frame to add more mass as he progresses and grows. He moves around the defensive line, has a quick first step explosion and can win with bend and a quick use of hands to get around bigger blockers near the LOS. A tough and physical kid especially for his size, he is a balanced defender with closing speed and a high motor that can make a impact in college. He holds a few college offers but did not sign in the first two signing days and could be a late add to keep a close eye on this Spring.
