#1 | QB | Dante Moore Dante Moore 6'2" | 210 lbs | QB Detroit King | 2023 State MI | UCLA Commit
I’ll just say right now; this is likely the final time I talk about Dante at the high school level! What a ride it’s been for him. He was always the #1 prospect in the class, and he’s arguably the #1 quarterback in the entire country. He caps off his high school career with back-to-back state titles, and I couldn’t be happier. In the few times I’ve met Dante, he seems like a genuinely great guy. There is absolutely no arguing this #1 spot, and I can’t wait to see him in that powder blue!
#2 | WR | Semaj Morgan Semaj Morgan 5'10" | 175 lbs | WR West Bloomfield | 2023 State MI | Michigan Commit
This is where my list really differs from some others. I absolutely love Semaj as a prospect and as long as Michigan utilizes him correctly, he’ll be great. People have forgotten that in the beginning of this past season, Semaj was a Mr. Football candidate. On top of that, he’s one of the twitchiest athletes I’ve ever seen. His movement in the open field is crazy, catch radius is great, and he’s overall an elite athlete. We all saw the pictures of Jim Harbaugh visiting his home, and it was apparent that Semaj was a top priority for the Wolverines. Can’t wait to see what he’ll do for the Maize and Blue!
#3 | OL | Amir Herring Amir Herring 6'3" | 255 lbs | OL West Bloomfield | 2023 State MI | Michigan Commit
Amir is the best offensive lineman in this class, without a doubt. I don’t really know what to say except he’s been dominant for years, and like Semaj, he was a priority for Michigan. Knowing how Michigan develops O-Line talent, Amir will become something special.
#4 | DL | Jalen Thompson Jalen Thompson 6'3" | 245 lbs | DL Cass Tech | 2023 State MI | Michigan State Commit
Jalen has fluctuated slightly through the years, but one thing is certain; he’s a beast with elite athletic traits and has sky-high potential. His ability to shed blocks and deliver HARD hits is crazy, and his performance against the best of the best has been admirable. MSU welcomes Jalen with open arms. Have fun in East Lansing but don’t party too hard!
#5 | RB | Cole Cabana Cole Cabana 6'0" | 185 lbs | RB Dexter | 2023 State MI | Michigan Commit
Cabana is a high riser, and likely the fastest player in the class. He’s got the power of Tim Kloska Tim Kloska 6'0" | 205 lbs | LB West Catholic | 2023 MI with similar speed and athleticism as D. Taylor. Again, knowing how Michigan develops their O-Line and RBs, there’s no doubt Cabana has a bright future with the Maize and Blue. With Donovan Edwards and Blake Corum heading out soon, I would not be surprised of Cabana got some early carries!
