Sights and Sounds: NM Legacy prepares for Sunday Jamboree
The New Mexico Legacy 7x7 team practiced Saturday afternoon at La Cueva High School in Albuquerque ahead of Sunday's Jamboree with New Mexico Heat and Mountain Muscle, a 7x7 team from Colorado. The event will kickoff at 2 p.m. at LCHS.
Legacy has already competed in two tournaments and will head to Las Vegas, NV for the Cam New Newton Foundation Tournament March 4-5. Heat is headed to Houston for a tournament next weekend (Feb. 25-26).
As he has done throughout the early stages of 7x7 season, 2025 Legacy QB Kelly Stevens displayed a strong throwing arm, rifling the ball all over the field to his array of receivers. Stevens, who attends Las Cruces High School, already stands 6-foot-3 and weighs about 210 pounds.
