Kaiden Maurer
Kaiden Maurer
This 3-sport athlete from Maroa-Forsyth is a very interesting prospect. Is he a QB, is he a RB, is he a WR or is he a DB? Well, he performed at an all-conference level at all three positions for the Trojans last season. A top notch baseball prospect as well, I would look for Kaiden to play slot receiver at the next level, if he chooses to do so. Cat quick with the ball in his hands, he had almost 3000 totals yards of offense with 30 combined touchdowns and also had 4 interceptions on the defensive side of the ball. He has the arm strength to make all the throws at QB as well and can take off like a rocket too. Look for a very big senior season from Kaiden, no matter where he plays on the field. Talin Kern
Talin Kern
Auburn High School has had their fair share of elite QB prospects over the years and Talin falls right in line with the others. Another multi-sport athlete for the Trojans, Talin has the arm strength to take shots down field and also the accuracy to pick apart any defense he faces. He’s mobile enough on his feet to get out of dangerous situations and also be a threat carrying the ball. While besting his 67% completion percentage from a year ago may be tough, I look for him to definitely improve on his almost 1700 yards passing and 22 touchdowns from 2022. There wasn’t much that stopped the leading rusher in the Sangamo in 2022. Cory rushed for over 1500 yards and scored 20 touchdowns as a junior and I look for marked improvements on both of those numbers his senior year. He has the speed to take it to the house from anywhere on the field and enough power to be a threat banging it up the middle as well. While he plays “fullback” in the Warriors offensive scheme, he is a definite tailback at the next level. Oh, and he also recorded almost 100 tackles playing linebacker as well. Treshaun Lancaster
Treshaun Lancaster
A big 200+ pound running back, Treshaun is the ground attack to match the aerial assault of Talin Kern. While he may not possess lightning speed, he has enough to split the defense and score from anywhere. He’s already rushed for over 2000 yards in his Trojan career and he has a shot to approach that number as a senior. Look for a big 2023 season from this backfield weapon. Zayn Giles
Zayn Giles
Once again we have a 3-sport athlete out of Maroa who helped dominate the field for the Trojans. This WR prospect will play all over the field to catch passes in 2023 and also take some snaps at QB just to get the ball in his hands to make plays when needed. He has good speed and catches the ball well in traffic. Look for another big improvement on his 47 catches that he had in 2022. I would expect close to 1000 yards his senior year. Danny Skelton
Danny Skelton
Another good QB prospect for the Sangamo, this 5’10 dynamo does it all for the Cardinals. He led the team in passing AND rushing while also piling up over 100 yards in receiving with a touchdown catch to boot. He has a quick release and does a good job with keeping his eyes downfield when the pocket collapses around him. He also possesses quick feet and can knife through a defense just as easily on the ground. Look for a big season and he tries to help Pleasant Plains return to the playoffs once again. Andy Munjoy
Andy Munjoy
The Trojans wouldn’t be half as good as they are without this sturdy piece manning the middle of the offensive and defensive line. An absolute earth mover at center, Andy does a phenomenal job finishing his blocks in the run game and is equally impressive getting to the second level and blocking linebackers and defensive backs. You can tell his is one of the leaders on offense and it shows on the field and in the classroom (3.76 GPA). He also does a great job clogging things up defensively and allowing his teammates to make tackles all over the place. I look for a big season from Andy and can definitely seeing him being a valuable asset to a college in the future. His Twitter handle is @AMunjoy
Chase Litwiller
Chase Litwiller
Very intriguing 3-sport prospect for the Spartans of Olympia. This long, rangy athlete can play a multitude of positions right now and I can definitely see him playing a few different spots at the next level. He currently plays ILB and TE but this 6’4 190 pounder can easily slide to the outside and play overhang or just as easily put on another 25-30 pounds as a freshman in college and be a terror on the edge. He will be one to keep eyes on as the summer camp sessions begin. Look for a big year in 2023. His Twitter handle is @ChaseLitwiller
Kade Lollar
Kade Lollar
Tough as nails fullback and linebacker for the Olympia Spartans this prospect does a good job of getting the tough inside yards but also being elusive enough to capture the edge. He is due for a big senior season taking over as the main ball carrier for the Spartans and looking to help them improve on their 7 wins from 2022. Look for close to 1000 yards, if not more, from this back in 2023. His Twitter handle is @kadelollar
Brayden Leathers
Brayden Leathers
Even though this 180 pounder was an all-conference offensive lineman as well, his future definitely lies on the defensive side of the ball where he is an absolute hammer at Inside Linebacker. He does a great job of filling gaps and when he fills them, he does it aggressively and rarely misses a tackle. He helped lead the Warriors deep into the playoffs in 2022 with 79 tackles and 11 tackles for loss and I look for just as good as numbers in 2023. His Twitter handle is @bleathers53
