It is that time in the week, where the staff of Prep Redzone Arkansas takes a look at the news making recruiting headlines across the Natural State. Scholarship offers, visits, and commitments take center stage this time of year. In this week's edition of Recruiting News and Notes we are going to take a look at the recruits that are making news across the Natural State.   [player_tooltip player_id='149573' first='Austyn' last='C Dendy']-Running Back-Pine Bluff-2024   Austyn Dendy is a running back that has no problem running it between the tackles. However, he has the speed to be able to cut the run to the outside and take off down the sideline. Dendy does an impressive job of catching the ball out of the backfield and is dangerous when he gets into the open field. Earlier in the week, the talented Pine Bluff running back earned a scholarship offer from the UNLV Rebels.   [player_tooltip player_id='149931' first='Kenneth' last='Jordan']-Running Back-Pulaski Academy-2024   The Pulaski Academy running back is a versatile prospect that has started to open plenty of eyes from a recruiting perspective. Jordan must be accounted for in both the run and passing game by the opposing defense. Jordan's ability to catch the ball out of the backfield is impressive. He is a dangerous weapon when he is split out wide at the receiver spot. It has been an extremely busy week from a recruiting perspective for the talented Pulaski Academy running back. Jordan earned scholarship offers from Dartmouth, Lindenwood, and the Air Force Academy this week.   [player_tooltip player_id='192298' first='John' last='Mark Charette']-Athlete-Pulaski Academy-2024   [player_tooltip player_id='192298' first='John' last='Mark Charette'] is a versatile prospect that can line up at the wide receiver or tight end positions. Charette is a receiver that has a knack for getting open. He makes big plays when Pulaski Academy is needing a big play. Charette is a smooth route runner, and he uses it to create separation from opposing defensive backs. Earlier this week, the Arkansas-Pine Bluff coaching staff extended a scholarship offer to Charette. He is a prospect to watch out for this upcoming season.   [player_tooltip player_id='403361' first='Joseph' last='McVay']-Wide Receiver-Earle-2024   [player_tooltip player_id='403361' first='Joseph' last='McVay'] is getting ready to blow up from a recruiting perspective. The Earle wide receiver has tremendous athletic ability. McVay has impressive speed and uses it well to stretch the field vertically. He is a receiver that is difficult to bring down and does a great job of fighting through tackles. McVay has had a busy week from a recruiting perspective this week. Earlier in the week, McVay received scholarship offers from Colorado State, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. He has the potential to have an excellent season in 2023.   [player_tooltip player_id='149581' first='Dyelon' last='Caradine']-Athlete-Malvern-2024   The Malvern Leopards are an extremely talented football team on both sides of the football. [player_tooltip player_id='149581' first='Dyelon' last='Caradine'] had a tremendous 2022 season on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. He hauled in 52 receptions for 1,080 yards and ten touchdowns from the wide receiver spot last season. Meanwhile, on the defensive side of the ball, he had 23 tackles, 14 pass break ups, and five interceptions. On Friday, Caradine earned a scholarship from the Air Force Academy. Look out for both Malvern and Caradine this upcoming season.   [player_tooltip player_id='304269' first='TJ' last='Lindsey']-Defensive Line-Bryant-2024   [player_tooltip player_id='304269' first='TJ' last='Lindsey'] has the ability to completely take over a football game from the defensive line position. Over the past few weeks, Lindsey has put his tremendous speed on display. He has shown that he can drop back into pass coverage and disrupt the opposing passing game. The scholarship offers continue to pour in for the talented Bryant defensive lineman. Over the course of the week, Lindsey earned scholarship offers from Mississippi State and Jackson State. The competition for Lindsey's services is going to be fun to watch this season.   [player_tooltip player_id='364854' first='Cody' last='Taylor']-Offensive Line-Greenwood-2026   The Greenwood Bulldogs have built a dynasty over the past 20 years in the state of Arkansas. The Bulldogs always have talented football prospects and [player_tooltip player_id='364854' first='Cody' last='Taylor'] fits that definition perfectly. Taylor has the size and quickness to see plenty of playing time on Saturdays in the future. The Greenwood offensive lineman earned scholarship offers from UNLV and New Mexico State over the past few days. Taylor is going to continue to be a major target of college scouts over the next two seasons.   [player_tooltip player_id='470001' first='Octavious' last='Rhodes']-Wide Receiver-Hot Springs-2024   The 2024 wide receiver class in the state of Arkansas is a talented one. [player_tooltip player_id='470001' first='Octavious' last='Rhodes'] is a talented wide receiver with the speed to stretch the field deep. He is an extremely shifty wide receiver and can work his way out of tackles with impressive consistency. Over the past few weeks, Rhodes has earned scholarship offers from Central Arkansas and Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Rhodes is a wide receiver to watch out for over the next couple of months. I expect him to light up Friday nights in the fall.
