Jackson Prep Football Preview

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jackson Prep has a lot of tradition in their program. They are looking to have another successful season in 2023. They have a lot to look forward to. Tuesday, I got a chance to check out a few of their players. Next year, I expect them to have a good season. These guys will help them out.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>Billy Puckett, QB, 2025</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Puckett is a very talented quarterback. This is going to be his first season as the starting quarterback. Puckett does a great job of getting the football out on time. He has good placement with the football. He does not make the same mistake twice. Puckett throws a good deep ball. He knows when to allow his receivers to run under the football. He knows when the ball needs to have some pressure behind it. Puckett has the potential to be a division one quarterback. Once he starts to grow more physically, he'll start to catch the attention of college coaches.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='910434' first='Peyton' last='Puckett'], TE/DL, 2024</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='910434' first='Peyton' last='Puckett'] is the brother of Billy. These two are going to have a lot of chemistry this season. Puckett is going to provide a big target for his younger brother. He runs some pretty decent route for a person his size. Puckett is also a very good baseball player. He has a lot of athleticism. He has a good set of hands. Puckett definitely has options if he wants to play football on the next level. He can also make a good linebacker.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>Major Quinn, DB, 2025</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Quinn is a very talented guy. He showed us that when he played in the Magnolia State Future Elite Game. Quinn is going to play both ways for Jackson Prep. He is a guy that knows how to be a ball hawk. Quinn will see a lot of passes playing from the slot this season. He has good hips and some decent speed. Quinn is a tough competitor who does not give up. He has great ball skills. He also knows when to break on a pass or make a big hit. Keep up with this young man.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2>Lake Womack, RB, 2024</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Womack is an impact player they will have returning next season. He averaged 55 yards per game last year. He will have more opportunity to pick up more rushing yards this season. Billy Puckett is a guy who will take a lot of stress off the running game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='287553' first='Micah' last='Stallworth'], DB, 2024</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stallworth is a very talented defensive back returning next season. He is a guy who loves to go up and get interceptions. Stallworth made a very big name for himself this past year. Look for him to be back out there balling again this season. I wouldn't be surprised to see him getting a lot of action on offense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
