Cornerbacks are some the most athletic players on the field on any given Friday night. Here are several cornerbacks who are game changers.
Allen plays fast, he shows eye great discipline and his natural instincts take over when he is in coverage. He has the skill set to play multiple coverages, press-man, off-man, cover 2 and his ability to make plays on the football are what makes him special. Allen has superb on ball production, he plays the passing lanes like a veteran, he uses his extended arm length to shut down throwing windows and he has the traits that shut down corners possess. Jaden has clean footwork with the ability to plant, cut and go and his suddenness allows him to break on the football. The Texas Longhorn commit, has been a three year starter and has won two state titles as an Aledo Bearcat.

Black has the prototype size and length that colleges covet in cornerbacks at the next level. Kobe shows natural instincts, combined with excellent eye discipline that enable him to play the passing lanes with a ballhawk mentality. He has the ability to cut, plant and drive on the football, which allows him to convert turnovers into six points for the defense. Black has the frame to continue to add mass at the next level without losing his high level athleticism. Kobe is a playmaker on the offensive side of the ball for Connally High School, he lines up a various positions and shows great burst with the ability to separate from the defense at the second level. Black is a national recruit who has double digit offers. Whichever college gets his services, look for Black to challenge for early playing time.

Conley has a long, lean, lengthy build, which are prototypical measurables for next level cornerbacks. He transitions into his backpedal smoothly, he has fluid hips with the dexterity to turn and run with receivers and stay engaged. Braylon uses his extended reach to play the passing lanes to shut down open windows and his versatility to play multiple coverages allows him to adapt to offenses quickly. He shows natural ballhawk instincts and has a nose for the football. Conley is a sure tackler, who plays with great leverage and brings a thump to his opponent. Conley has double digit offers that include Texas, Utah, Houston, Texas Tech, Colorado, Kansas State, UTSA, and Wisconsin, who envision Conley as a player who can come in a have an immediate impact.

Dotson is technically sound, he plays with violent hands when in press coverage and he uses his extended arm length to redirect receivers off of their axis to reroute them. He has fluid hips, his ability to turn, run and stay engaged with receivers, allows him to shut down his side of the field. Dotson comes up in run support under control, he plays with great pad level and delivers heavy blows to his opponent. When the football comes in his vicinity, Dotson purses the pass with controlled aggression and he makes plays on the football routinely. Ephraim put up phenomenal numbers in 2022 at Hightower High School, registering 49 tackles, 5 interceptions, 5 PBUs, while being named 1st team all-district. Yale and Dartmouth have invited Dotson to Junior Days this spring. Colleges will no doubt be getting more looks at Dotson, who has the traits that next level cornerbacks possess.

Bowen has excellent on ball coverage skills and has the ability to shut down his half of the field. Eli is technically sound, he get hands on receivers early in their routes and he has the hip flexibility to turn, run and stay engaged with his opponent. Bowen has elite speed, combined with explosive burst and the short area quickness to change direction without false steps. Bowen is a weapon when he gets the ball in his hands. Whether Bowen gets an interception, he lines up on offense or fields kicks on special teams, Eli can make a house call for six. He has a nose for the football and any opportunity he gets to cause havoc on a play, look for Bowen to punch or scrape at the football. Bowen has a strong, stout frame, which will enable him to add bulk to his frame at the next level. A national recruit, with double digit offers, Bowen fits the profile and has the traits that next level cornerbacks possess.
