Friday Film Session: 2024 RBs

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Let's start these Friday film sessions for the great state of Mississippi. Today we are going to break down some of the best 2024 RBs Mississippi has to offer. These guys are some studs who get the job done. There's a lot of different styles to choose from in Mississippi. They love to run the football. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>Nate Blount, Clinton</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This young man is a load in the trenches. He totes the rock with a lot of anger. When you watch his film you can see even has the vision of the quicker running backs. Blount has a very mean stiff arm that uses to get defenders out of his way in a hurry. You can also see that he gets behind his shoulder pads. Blount is definitely a division one running back. I think if he gets faster he may see himself receive a power five offer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='346420' first='Gavin' last='Griffin'], Velma Jackson</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Griffin is a shifty running back. He is very elusive, but he also has power. I love the jump step he uses to find the hole he wants to get in. Griffin has great vision from the backfield. You can also see that he has great speed. When he breaks away there is nobody catching him. Griffin is going to be a division one running back. I can see him fitting in well with a spread offense on the next level. He also has good hands out of the backfield. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='346421' first='Jay' last='Stevenson'], Heritage Academy </strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Stevenson is a heavy load from the backfield. This young man is mean. He puts you in the mind of the Derrick Henry, Earl Campbell type of running backs. The big boys who can run. Stevenson does not mind making contact with his defenders. He is going to get guys out of his way. I love the way he plays the game. He is another guy that has a great stiff arm. His film is very fun to watch. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='293192' first='Omar' last='Scott'], Winston Academy </strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Scott is a big boy that totes the ball well. He also has 4.5 speed to go with his tall healthy frame. Scott looks like he is gliding when he is on the field. He is another guy who is very strong. He does not shy away from contact. When I watched his film I noticed he has the tendency to stand straight up coming through the hole. As a taller running back, he needs to find a way to get behind those pads more. Scott is the truth for his team. This stud loves putting up stats.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
