who is 6’3, 285 pounds who bench presses 225 pounds and squats 365 pounds. Mason has a 4.25 GPA and scored a 31 on his ACT Test. He also plays in the band where he recently made All State.
Mason plans on possibly attending the Oklahoma State University Linemen Camp this coming summer and is currently unsure of any others yet. He feels that what separates him from other offensive linemen in the state is his technique and film study. He shows his leadership on the field by taking control of the situation and keeping his team motivated. His personal goals for this coming season is to grow as a lineman and leader and lead his team to a state championship.
Mason feels that his strengths as a football player is being a motivational leader with his leadership qualities. The players that he looked up to this past season were senior offensive linemen Eric Barrientos and Adrian Falkon and Coach Charles Batey. Mason looks up to head coach Felix Curry and former Coach Greg Kendrick. His favorite blocking is Pass Blocking and what he loves the most about playing football is the family atmosphere and team togetherness.
Mason says that sophomore to be Kevin Gonzalez who started as a freshman this past season motivates him the most on the team by watching Kevin’s talent motivating him to want to be a better player. He says by seeing Northsides young talent on the offensive line stepping up from other positions and their making the transitions gives him comfort in knowing they will succeed.
Kevin Gonzalez is a 6’0″, 290 pound sophomore to be offensive lineman that started as a freshman this past season. He bench presses 260-pounds and squats 425-pounds with a 3.2 GPA. Kevin will be attending an Exposure Football Camp this coming summer but is unsure of any other camps at this time to be determined later. He feels that what separates him from other offensive linemen in the state is his work ethic and by accomplishing what he sets his mind to do.
Kevin shows his leadership on the field by keeping the team together and staying positive. His personal goal this season is to get more college attention and win a state championship. Kevin’s strength is his Football IQ and mental toughness. He looks up to his past senior offensive linemen. His favorite blocking is run blocking. What Kevin loves the most about playing football is his ability to stay focused and win every battle on the line and also the team atmosphere and being family oriented.
