2023 5’9 185 RB – Marcel Gaskins – Potomac School – Naval Academy
The 1st Team All-MAC running back and Naval Academy commit, Marcel Gaskins, put on a clinic running out of the backfield this season for the Potomac Panthers. Gaskins rushed for more than 500 yards with 5 touchdowns, and he did so averaging nearly 10 yards per carry. Marcel Gaskins will fit perfectly into the Naval Academy’s rush first read-option style offense, and it wouldn’t surprise me at all to see him get significant playing time within his first two seasons. Marcel Gaskins is a stellar ball carrier with a ton of strength and speed for his size. Navy nation should be pumped up with Gaskins’ commitment because he is really going to thrive within this Midshipmen system.
2023 6’1 185 WR/DB – Donovan Calhoun – Maret
Donovan Calhoun proved this season that he is a dominant two way player and that he has next level potential. Calhoun earned a spot on the 1st Team All-MAC 2022 defensive team because of his prowess in the defensive secondary, and he also put up big numbers as a pass catcher for the Frogs. Calhoun hauled in 6 receptions 194 yards and 3 touchdowns in his final career high school game, and his performance truly embodied his overall production for Maret over his dominant career. Donovan Calhoun has offers from programs such as Washington and Jefferson College, Carleton College, Bates College, and others, and he has also received an invite to participate in the O-D All American Bowl to showcase his talents even further. There’s no doubt in my mind that Donovan Calhoun is a collegiate level player, and scouts must continue to keep an eye on him as the recruiting process for next Fall continues.

2024 6’0 195 QB – Roman Jensen – Maret
Roman Jensen had a breakout season in 2022, and, given that he’s playing his best football right now, he’s in a premier position to have the biggest season of his career in 2023. Jensen threw for more than 3200 passing yards and 37 touchdowns in 2022, and he also added 800 yards and 9 touchdowns running the football. Roman Jensen continues to climb the overall dual-threat quarterback rankings in the DMV, and he truly is one of the top overall quarterbacks in the area. You cannot discuss DMV area quarterbacks right now without mentioning Roman Jensen, and I am certain that he will continue to shine for Maret in 2023. The 1st Team All-MAC quarterback absolutely has D1 potential, and scouts nationwide must have Roman Jensen on their 2023 watch lists. Roman Jensen and the Maret Frogs have their eyes set on a MAC Championship next Fall.

2023 6’2 195 QB – Nate Grossman – Sidwell
Sidwell quarterback Nate Grossman put forth a stellar season this past Fall. He possesses exceptional decision making, and he also manages pocket pressure better than most quarterbacks at this level. Grossman also throws the ball on the run very well and pretty accurately at that. Where he lacks in athleticism he makes up for with arm talent and strength, and, with proper development, Grossman could absolutely start at the collegiate level down the line. Programs should absolutely give him a chance because he actually played very solid football in a conference with underestimated difficulty last season. Nate Grossman has interest from schools such as Bowdoin, Brown, and others.

2024 6’3 255 DL/TE – Sam Greenspan – Sidwell
The 1st Team All-MAC defensive lineman Sam Greenspan had a career year in 2022, and he absolutely dominated the interior tackle position for the Fighting Quakers all season. Greenspan is a two way player who also lines up at tight end on offense for Sidwell. As a pass catcher Greenspan hauled in a handful of crucial receptions, and he also demonstrated elite blocking skill when without the football. Sam Greenspan is playing his best football at the moment, and my prediction is that 2023 is an even more dominant year for Greenspan. He earned more than 8 sacks and 14 tackles for a loss in only 7 games in 2022, so there’s no doubt that Sam Greenspan has what it takes to achieve greatness next season. Collegiate offers will most certainly be rolling in for Greenspan in the near future if they have not yet already. He’s most certainly a next level player.
