As we continue to tell parents, coaches and players, getting the opportunity to watch players live at camps, combines and games is a huge advantage.
While we respect all those fans and “recruiting analysts” who promote the players from film, there is a certain feeling from athletes that seeing people live at their events can truly promote the students to colleges in more ways that just judging performance from the same film that thousands are viewing.
In a world where character is everything, you just cannot judge that from seeing film.
While the Class of 2024 is fully on the clock, getting a jump on the future is always essential – especially with so many things happening in the recruiting process – we take a look into the future and see what 2025 (rising juniors) have to offer.
Today, we take a look at five prospects to keep an eye on:
TAYLOR CRANE TAYLOR CRANE 6'0" | 185 lbs | QB FREEDOM | 2025 FL , QB, 6-1, 190, Orlando Oak Ridge. 3.8 GPA. This is certainly one of the quick rising quarterbacks in his class. Not only does he have accuracy and continues to learn how to read defenses on passing downs, but this is a gifted young many who can run – adding to what he already brings to the table.
Elijah Dewoskin, RB, 5-10, 183, Pembroke Pines West Broward. 3.4 GPA. Another south Florida area football talent who got lost in the shuffle in his sophomore season, but you can almost guarantee that this won’t happen this coming season for a program that advanced to the state playoffs. Runs hard on every play and knows how to block as well. The definition of a TEAM player.
Enzo Fernandes, OL/DL, 6-0, 240, Windermere. 3.5 GPA.For someone who only had one year of varsity football under his belt, this is truly a prospect that will most definitely pick up valuable technique along with improving his strength. Keep an eye on this young man. He gets it done on and off the playing field.
Alexander Newman, OG, 6-1, 260, Lutz Steinbrenner. 3.67 GPA. What makes this impressive, young talent so special is his ability to line up against in any class at any level. This is certainly one of the emerging stars. He is strong, athletic and has outstanding foot work. Another name to keep an eye on.
Wyatt Wainwright, QB, 6-2, 185, Niceville. 4.0 GPA, Baseball prospect. Talk about the ultimate student/athlete, there may not be a more well-rounded player in the class – and while many have not watched him play, that should all change in 2023. He is still learning on the football field, but that is also because he just happens to be one of the rising baseball prospects in the region. By the way, he is also a tremendous student in the classroom which is a huge addition to what he also brings to the table.
