Class 1A All-State LBs: Size, Speed Offered By These Superstars

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Class 1A all-state list for linebackers is one of the state's elite groups. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='152904' first='Isaac' last='Kacmarynski'] of Pella Christian, [player_tooltip player_id='320489' first='Nick' last='Reinicke'] from Dike-New Hartford and Kade McElwaine of MFL MarMac had incredible seasons on the football field for their respective teams. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>All three were standouts all around the field, using their size, speed and athleticism to dominate.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>First Team - [player_tooltip player_id='152904' first='Isaac' last='Kacmarynski'] - Pella Christian - Senior</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>His offensive skills made headlines, but Pella Christian's [player_tooltip player_id='152904' first='Isaac' last='Kacmarynski'] was also dominant on the defensive side of the ball. He recorded 83 tackles with 67 solo stops and eight for loss. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kacmarynski helped Pella Christian reach the quarterfinals. He threw for over 1,000 yards and ran for another 1,200 with 27 combined touchdowns. Both of his interceptions resulted in pick-6s and he also averaged almost 30 yards per kickoff return. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Second Team - [player_tooltip player_id='320489' first='Nick' last='Reinicke'] - Dike-New Hartford - Senior</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With 106 tackles, [player_tooltip player_id='320489' first='Nick' last='Reinicke'] served notice against opposing offenses throughout the year. The Dike-New Hartford senior racked up 106 stops with 89 solo tackles, two sacks and 13 tackles for loss. He will take his talents to Ames and join Matt Campbell and the Iowa State Cyclones in the fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Third Team - Kade McElwaine - MFL MarMac - Junior</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kade McElwaine finished second in Class 1A with 108.5 tackles, with 70 of those being recorded as solo stops. He also had 21 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks for MFL MarMac, and will be back for his senior season. He showed his athleticism on offense with seven receptions for 156 yards and a touchdown.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Honorable Mention</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='152889' first='Carson' last='Hartz'] of Waterloo Columbus, Aiden Friedow from Belmond-Klemme, Oliver Potter from Woodward-Granger and Chett Mohr of Mediapolis all had a shot at making the list.
