These prospects need to hit a bunch of camps this off-season. Some have the talent to be some nice players on the next level.
Josiah Toeaina, Bob Jones, DB
Toeaina has some very nice skills. He plays the game with a lot of confidence at a young age. He does a lot of things great in the secondary. I like the way he is patient when it comes to defending the deep pass. He isn’t concerned on looking back at the quarterback. He attacks the defenders hands. Toeaina trusts his skills and reads receivers eyes well on deep passes. He also knows how to make sure tackles. Toeaina has some good hips, and breaks on the football very well. I think he has a chance to be a division one prospect.
Tae Martin, WR/DB, Reeltown
Martin is a guy who can play receiver and defensive back. He knows how to do his thing from both sides of the island. Martin can line up and run nice routes. He also can line up and stop receivers from running good routes. At this point it is hard to tell what he is going to play on the next level. He does a good job of turning his hips when he needs to make a sudden play. He does not mind coming up to make a tackle. Martin has a quick acceleration when he is ready to attack a receiver who turns into a ball carrier. He also can gain ground fast after he catches the ball. Martin is a guy to keep up with.
Christian Gill Christian Gill 5'11" | 315 lbs | DL Williamson | 2025 AL , NG, Williamson
Gill is a straight up beast who lives in the backfield. Gill splits double teams like a knife going through a biscuit at Hardee’s. He is amazing with his hands. He also does a great job rushing the passer. His films starts off with three sacks. He does a great job of getting a quick release off the line. I’m very concerned with his height. He looks to be about 5-foot-10, maybe an inch taller. It would be great if he could gain another two inches in height. He could also slim down some. That will only allow him to be more elusive on the line.
DJ Brooks, DB, Aliceville
Brooks is a big time hitter. He knows how to come up and make a big time blow. He also breaks up a lot of passes with big hits. Last season he had 88 tackles. He reacts to plays very well. He had a couple of interceptions. I think that he is going to be a strong safety. Brooks is a guy who loves to come up and support the rush defense. Brooks needs to work on turning his hips faster in coverage. He attacks the ball very well.
