Continue ReadingThese guys are very gritty. The 2025 linebackers are a bunch that loves to get in your face. This is going to be a fun article to read. This class has some guys who aren’t that big who can play the position well also. I can see some of those guys playing safety on the next level.
Bryson Walters Bryson Walters 6'2" | 220 lbs | LB Itawamba Agricultural | 2025 State MS , Itawamba
Walters is one of the forerunners for this class. He recorded over 100 tackles during his freshman and sophomore campaign. Walters is a guy who studies the game a lot. That’s why he knows his assignments on the field so well. He has good size to go with that talent. He is a 6-foot-2, 220-pound prospect who also moves around well. Walters makes good sure tackles. He is also a decent tackler in the open field. Walters is working to become a lot faster this off-season. He hasn’t received an offer yet, but I think that will change soon.
Corxavier Coleman, Louisville
Coleman is another guy that was highly impressive during his freshman campaign. This past season he helped lead his team to a state championship. Coleman does well playing in that Louisville defense. He fills holes well. He isn’t the biggest linebacker out there. Coleman knows how to make his body very slim in the trenches. He makes good sure tackles. I would love to see him at a lot of camps. I think he is going to be a safety in college.
Quincy Butts Quincy Butts 6'1" | 210 lbs | LB Columbus | 2025 State MS , New Hope
Butts has been working very hard on his coverage this off-season. That is one part of his game he truly wants to see improve. Butts is a solid linebacker who looks the part. He isn’t a small guy by a long shot. Butts plays the game the way it is supposed to be played. It isn’t scared to make a mistake going one hundred percent. Butts is going to be power five prospect. He has all the tools do so. I think he is going to grow to be an inside linebacker. This kid has the body to hold a lot more weight. He has some good height as well.
Bryson Wells Bryson Wells 6'1" | 195 lbs | LB West Point | 2025 State MS , West Point
Wells is a stud. I’ve been a fan of his since I watched them practice last spring. He is a guy that is mean. He loves to bring a big punch. Wells is a guy that college coaches need to get familiar with. He comes from a program that loves to get gritty. All he knows is hard practices and good weight training. His defensive coordinator is a guy who prepares his players to be men. Wells is very polished. He is a guy that you will want playing in your program. He is a 6-foot-1, 195-pound prospect that will play a hybrid safety or linebacker position in college. Wells is a dude.
