Here are some of the no brainer offer now prospects from across Idaho that can play at the D-III+ level in college and who will be some of the top defenders across the state going into the 2023 season.
Brock is a top the best player conversation across the state in the 2024 class and was just offered by Idaho, with other FBS and FCS schools most likely not far behind. He is a well built and extremely physical defensive end prospect with good size, strength and a powerful play style both in the run game and when pass rushing. He is explosive off the ball with a quick use of hands on speed rushes and inside moves, while knowing when to counter back inside and flashing closing speed and open field tackling/redirecting abilities. In the run game, he locks out blockers with a strong base and violent strike while shedding quickly without losing ground. Brock will be one of the top names to watch out for as we move through this off-season and into his Senior year.
Mikita should find his home at outside linebacker in college, as he has cover abilities, fluid hips in space and is seemingly very comfortable on the edge when triggering. He is a quick to react downhill player that is a sure tackler and explodes through contact at the POA. On film, he shows he can scrape quickly over the top, fill violently and takes good angles in the open field when tracking ball carriers backside. His combination of athleticism, cover abilities and physicality in run support make him a very intriguing prospect for the next level.
Highlights
McKenna is a two-way player that has upside in college due to untapped potential and position versatility due to his long frame and size. He moves well and shows he plays with violent inside hands, locks out blockers and does an impressive job at using his length both in the run game and when pass rushing. He is a dominant two-way player for Borah and could be a potential intriguing offensive tackle in college as he continues to pack on more weight to his frame and continues to develop. McKenna is a no brainer FCS+ kid and one of the best Idaho has to offer.
George is a very active big play linebacker that is always around the ball and flies around the second level. He is a downhill thumper that can take on blockers and is a natural bender around traffic when shooting the gap and a very strong and physical tackler near the LOS and in the backfield. He displays good speed in the open field, closes quickly and shows plus COD abilities and a very high football IQ. He can play either inside or outside linebacker at the next level, depending on the school and is one of the states best regardless of class. George is a top name to watch through the off-season and as we approach the next National Signing Day.
