I’m back! I have taken the month of January to evaluate and reevaluate some really good talent in the state! I’ve made my way through south, east, west, and north Alabama, and I have some amazing content coming! First, let’s get this heat going with three of my favorite hidden gems in the state. These young men have shown on film, social media, and in the classroom that they have exactly what it takes to be on the college roster this fall. These gems were literally found in the valley, gridding and hungry for the next step in their academic and athletic careers. So, guess what I’m showing them off? Some big jewelry that coaches need to get their eyes on now will help them get some big jewelry!
So let’s dive into some Alabama football!
Will Hocutt
Will Hocutt
Hocutt is a top long snapper in the state. Hocutt possesses enormous size, allowing him to control the line of scrimmage at all times. I’ve never seen a more dominating long snapper than Hocutt. He has excellent form and a physique that is ideal for a long snapper in Division I and beyond. Hocutt moves really well, and everyone notices when he snaps. Hocutt stands out because, in addition to long snapping, he is a defensive lineman who isn’t afraid to get dirty. Hocutt has exceptional ball-tracking talents from his time playing defensive end. On crucial plays, Hocutt snaps the ball and pursue downfield to create tackling opportunities for himself and teammates.
Hocutt is an all-around “athlete,” which means he is a dual-threat football player who can snap incredibly precise snaps and then make percise angles down the field to make tackles in open space. Hocutt has an excellent work ethic and will contribute to any collegiate team that gives him a chance. He currently has some offers, but I don’t think they’re done rolling in.

DJ Williams
DJ Williams
The first thing people notice about DJ is his acceleration, as he possesses a fast initial stride to hit the hole and a second gear to explode to the second level of defense. DJ can rip off yards in bunches in the open field and is a danger to transform routine carries into massive gains. Aside from his speed, DJ is a natural runner with great judgment. He has exceptional vision and anticipation to follow his course before blasting downhill when a hole is going to appear. In addition to his flair for running with the ball, DJ possesses a compact physique that allows him to dash through tackles and pick up yards after a hit.He possesses excellent balance to stay on his feet after being hit by opponents, and he exploits his size to avoid tacklers. In the open field, DJ possesses some moves, fast feet, and elusiveness. His size and strength make him a formidable short-yardage runner.
DJ Williams skill as a receiver is one characteristic that will thrill scout and recruiters. He is extremely dangerous while running wheel routes because he is athletic in space and has demonstrated amazing hands to make some tough catches downfield. Without utilizing his body, he makes several nice hand catches with terrific technique. DJ is a dangerous route runner out of the backfield who creates coverage mismatches against front-seven defenders. DJ is an ideal match for an elite offense, he is such a special player and will do amazing things in the future. Coaches the future is large for this kid, get on the train and let him take you places.https://twitter.com/King_DJ_329/status/1608590720121851904?s=20&t=PEfkhhlysxW3yyN0UJbtMw rn
Keith Williams
Keith Williams
Keith possesses three-down starting potential at the next level. It’s difficult to find inside defenders who can rush the passer, but Keith has them. He’s fast off the snap and agile enough to react in the short area. Keith may use his gap to go upfield and into the backfield to capture the quarterback in a blink of an eye. Offensive linemen struggle to tie up Keith because of his compact and heavy body, and he possesses the functional strength to battle through blocks. With his size, power, and quickness, William is a dangerous interior rusher who might contribute to a strong collegiate pass-rushing team. Keith has the strength and stature at the point of attack to keep his position in the run game. He has the agility and athleticism to make tackles outside of his gap and to get off blocks and into tackles. Keith is a dominating football player who is eager to explode at any time; when the appropriate opportunity presents itself, he will not disappoint.
