Updated 2024 Rankings - New Additions

The review of game film and combines of 193 talented players have been completed. There were several players added to the list of ranked players for the 2024 class. I am doing a review of 10 players who are now ranked players in their class.   [player_tooltip player_id='465342' first='Brandon' last='Crutchfield'] - DB, 5'10" 165 (No. 2 DB, No. 23 Overall), Heritage HS. Brandon played on both sides of the ball for his team. He is being recruited as a defensive back to play at the next level. Brandon filled in as a quarterback for a couple of games to injuries to the starter and back-up. He had 331 passing yards and 456 rushing yards while lined up in the pocket. He had 166 receiving yards while playing on offense. Brandon is a multi-talented player who was the leader of the defensive secondary. He finished the season with 55 total tackles, 33 of which were solo tackles. He averaged 5 tackles per game throughout the season. Brandon has been on several unofficial visits to Power5 schools.   [player_tooltip player_id='572266' first='William' last='Holland'] - DL, 6'3" 325 (No. 27 DL, No. 190 Overall), South Brunswick HS. William displayed good technique and use of hands to control blockers while moving past them for stops. He moved well in tight spaces to shut down inside running plays. He displayed upper body strength to overpower blockers and disrupt plays. William is expected to be the anchor and leader of the defensive line during the upcoming season.   [player_tooltip player_id='429230' first='Jay' last='Jackson'] - LB, 6'1" 225 (No. 29 LB, No. 181 Overall), North Stanly HS. Jay displayed good lateral movement and speed to cover a lot of ground quickly while closing in on the ball carrier for stops. He displayed good technique and change of directions to defend receivers on short passing routes. Jay is expected to be the leader of the linebackers' group during the upcoming season.   [player_tooltip player_id='586317' first='Jordan' last='McClure'] - QB, 5'11" 180 (No. 8 QB, No. 32 Overall), Southern Durham HS. Jordan put some impressive numbers during the past season. He completed 206 passes for 3,403 yards and 20 TDs. He averaged 261.8 yards per game and 16.5 yards per pass. Jordan completed 67 percent of his passes along with 12 interceptions. He finished the season with a QB rating of 109. He is expected to continue his high level of play during the upcoming season.   [player_tooltip player_id='586318' first='Carson' last='Herrera'] - OL, 6'2" 240 (No. 15 OL, No. 119 Overall), Millbrook HS. Carson displayed good footwork and technique to control defenders while opening lanes for the running backs. He displayed a solid base while protecting the quarterback on passing plays. Carson was the anchor and one of the leaders on the offensive line. Millbrook had one of the top offensive units in the state and a quarterback who was the state's passing leader. Carson is one of the top centers in the state.   [player_tooltip player_id='586557' first='Nate' last='Sorrells'] - RB, 5'10" 180 (No. 12 RB, No. 79 Overall), Orange HS. Nate is a power running back who accelerates pasts defenders in the open field to gain yardage. He displayed good vision and balance while running inside for tough yardage. Nate does not go down after initial contact is made. He finished the season with 800 yards and 7 TDs. Nate had 23 receptions for 200 yards while displaying good hands on pass plays. He threw a pass for a 84 yards reception and 1 TD.   [player_tooltip player_id='417567' first='Khalil' last='Conley'] - ATH, 6'0" 180 (No. 15 ATH, No. 169 Overall), Christ School. Khalil plays on both sides of the ball for his team. He had 39 receptions for 736 yards and 5 TDs. He averaged 18.9 yards per catch throughout the season. Khalil finished the season with 31 total tackles, 1 which was for a loss. He finished the season with 15 solo tackles. Khalil is expected to continue to provide solid performances on both sides of the ball during the upcoming season.   [player_tooltip player_id='428445' first='Cory' last='Fisher'] - DB, 6'2" 165 (No. 18 DB, No. 154 Overall), East Forsyth HS. Cory was one of the leaders of the defensive secondary. He displayed good speed and the ability to change directions quickly while covering receivers. He finished the season with 11 total tackles, 9 which were solo tackles. He is expected to step up his field performance during the upcoming season.   [player_tooltip player_id='469428' first='Whitt' last='Newbauer'] - QB, 6'4" 195 (No. 7 QB, No. 31 Overall), Cardinal Gibbons HS. Whitt stepped up and established himself as one of the top quarterbacks in the class. He completed 139 passes for 1,963 yards and 16 TDs. He averaged 163.6 yards per game and 14.1 yards per pass. Whitt completed 62.6 percent of his passes along with 6 interceptions. He tucked it and ran when needed, gaining 158 yards and 1 TD. Whitt finished the season with a QB rating of 103.   [player_tooltip player_id='525516' first='Jahdae' last='Laurenceau'] - DL, 6'3" 230 (No. 26 DL, No. 189 Overall), Cary HS. Jahdae displayed good technique and use of hands to control blockers while moving past them for stops. He finished the season with 30 total tackles, 7 which were for losses. He finished the season with 9 solo tackles. Jahdae is expected to be one of the leaders on the defensive line during the upcoming season.
