Christian Thomas, WR, Shades Valley, 2023
This guy is absolutely amazing. He has a few D1 offers, but I think this kid can play with anybody. Watching his film you see that speed kills. The young man also has his way of getting open whenever he likes. He has an amazing burst of speed when he catches the ball with open space. If he has any room to score he will. He also has great vision. There is one play on his film that you will notice him make a big play on a kickoff return. He runs across the field to catch the kick. After that he slowly treads as his team sets up the blocks. Then he goes over 90 yards for a touchdown. This kid is a amazing. He can make it anywhere.
Tashun Griffin, DE, Bibbs Co HS, 2024
Griffin is very good at getting to the quarterback. I think on the next level he will be more of an interior guy. Either way, he is very good on the field. I love the way he uses his hands. He also does a good job playing the run. His film is very fun to watch. Especially if you like to see defensive lineman putting pressure on signal callers. I’m not sure how many offers he has, but he is a dude. He deserves to play on the next level.
Mac Beason, Gardendale HS, QB, 2025
Beason has a nice arm, and he has a quick release. Watching his film you notice that he knows how to get the ball out on time. He also is very good at extending plays. When he begins to get in trouble he instantly starts to look for his check downs. That is a very good trait to see in a young quarterback. He isn’t a QB that likes to force plays. His receivers can make plays because he also has good accuracy. I can’t wait to see him play next season. He has good size. He is a 6-foot-1 180-pound stud.
Lawson Hughes, C, Gardendale, 2024
Hughes is a bulldozer on the football field. He gets people out of his way. He makes humongous holes for his running backs to run through. I love the way he plays the game. I would love to be standing behind him on offense. He is a player that a lot of guys would love to have on their team. Hughes did a very great job at the Army Bowl Combine. He is a big kid that has a very great chance to play D1 football. Hughes looks to be a very strong guy. I wouldn’t want to be in his way.
