2024 DB Quentin Reddish – Independence HS
Recent Offers – James Madison, Rhode Island, Wake Forest, Appalachian State, Charlotte, East Carolina
Analysis – This physical defensive back can also play center field very well from his safety position. For a while, his only offer was a Missouri offer he picked up in the previous off-season. Listed at 6’3 and 187 pounds, his ability to play coverage as well as run support equally well has to be a big plus for the colleges interested in him. He had over 70 tackles and 5 interceptions this past season as a reflection of those skills. He comes from a talented family as well – his kin Joseph Reddish also played defensive back as a senior and was a Queen City Senior Bowl selection this past year.
2024 LB James Nesta – Hough HS
Recent Offers – NC State, East Carolina, Wake Forest, Marshall, Duke, Charlotte, Kentucky, Virginia Tech
Analysis – At 6’5 and 205 pounds, James really came on strong this past season playing the EDGE position for the Huskies. He is a very long 6’5 and that helped him to play off blocks very well and make plays consistently. He is also very explosive coming off the edge, forcing fumbles and turnovers on a consistent basis. On top of that, he is an excellent open field tackler and has the athleticism to cover in the passing game as well. As if that wasn’t enough, he is a talented baseball player and definitely could be a 2-sport player on the collegiate level!
2024 OL Eagan Boyer Eagan Boyer 6'8" | 240 lbs | OL Hough | 2024 State NC – Hough HS
Recent Offers – UNLV, ECU, Mich St, GA Tech, Auburn, Penn St, Tennessee
Analysis – 6’8 Offensive linemen don’t necessarily grow on trees, and Eagan’s size definitely is a major plus in getting all of the recruiting attention that he is. I’ve seen him up close for the past two years, and the improvement in his game has been meteoric. He has been coached very well, and he’s done work in the weight room to give him the power to absolutely dominate in the run game. He takes joy in playing to the echo of the whistle. The thing you love is he is aggressive in pass protetction also. As he continues to add weight to his frame, he can be a big-time player on the next level for sure.
2024 LB Jaden Smith – West Charlotte HS
Recent Offers – Charlotte, James Madison, Virginia Tech
Analysis – At 6’3, Jaden shows elite traits as an EDGE player – great burst rushing the passer or coming on well-timed blitzes, a great technique in open-field tackling, and excellent speed in playing sideline-to-sideline to track down ball carriers. He is also physical at the point of contact and brings a pop when bringing down offensive players. I think he is a little under-recruited right now even with the recent interest he is getting. One other thing I like about him is he’s a leader as well.
2024 WR Jalen Harris – Hickory Ridge HS
Recent Offers – East Carolina, Charlotte, James Madison, Maryland
Analysis – I saw Jalen up close last summer at a Charlotte camp where he was offered by the 49ers for his performance. He was coming off of an injury, and I felt like he was going to be a breakout player candidate for this past season, and he definitely was. His heralded teammate Christian Hamilton Christian Hamilton 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR Hickory Ridge | 2023 State NC got the attention early in the season, and he took advantage with several big games. As he faced more focus as the season went on, he still produced excellent stats and great play on the field. At 6’3 and 200 pounds he high points the football well and can run away from you in the open field. Very good hands and he is a willing blocker in the run game. Great attitude as well.
2024 DB Xavier McIntyre – Hough HS
Recent Offers – James Madison, UAB, Charlotte, East Carolina, Marshall, Miami (Ohio)
Analysis – I have liked Xavier for a long time – he participated in a camp that I covered last spring, and I thought he fared pretty well in a very talented group of players that are all going to be playing college football. At 6’0 and 190 pounds, he usually covered his opponent’s best receiver opposite another talented teammate of his – Samari Matthews Samari Matthews 6'0" | 170 lbs | DB Hough | 2026 State NC , who is a big-time 2026 prospect himself. He really stood out to me in a game against Kevin Concepcion Kevin Concepcion 5'11" | 165 lbs | WR Chambers | 2023 State NC who is committed to NC State – I believe that performance really put him on the map as a player that deserves his own accolades and press. He is a physical player who has good speed to stay with receivers and is not afraid to tackle in the open field. He also can be competitive in jump-ball situations and doesn’t shy away from the pressure moments. I’m excited to see him in his senior year coming up!
