King is a fantastic athlete who developed and looked great this past year on JV. He’s all over the field and played in all 3 phases of the game. Whether it’s running the rock, defending the backend, or being a gunner on kickoffs, King showed his ability to simply make plays. With the ball in his hands he’s an angry runner. His pad level could use some work but he’s a powerful runner when he wants to. He’s able to level some defenders and get to the next level. Once in the open field he’s got elite speed that won’t be caught. Defensively, he sees the field well. He’s instinctive and when he trusts those instincts, he’s usually right. When he hesitates because he doubts himself he can get caught flat footed but I expect that to clean up as he gets more reps and a better feel for the backend. He’s a phenomenal athlete who can be used all over the field. His JV tape is exactly what you want for a young buck. He dominated at times and looks like he’s ready for next year. He’s young, has a well built frame, and is only going to continue chiseling it out over the next few years. Remember the name Deacon King because he’s just getting started.

Xavier Bell Xavier Bell 5'9" | 150 lbs | WR DeKalb | 2026 State IN – DeKalb – RB/WR – 5’9″ 150lbs – 2026
Bell is a crafty young player who has a good feel for what’s happening around him and when to adjust. Right now, he’s a smaller receiver but because of that it’s forced him to develop in some other areas to be successful that other guys may not worry about until college. In terms of reading the coverage, sitting in open zones, and adjusting on the run when his QB is in trouble, Bell is way ahead of the curb. He’s smart on the field and you just see it. He’s willing to lay out and dive to catch a ball for a 3-yard gain. Every inch matters with him on the field and he’ll fight for every yard. He’s great in the screen game and can make guys miss. He’s shifty, has quick feet, and is a really willing blocker. I love Bell and what he can be down the road. As he develops physically it’ll only help him round out his game. He’s developing in some areas that others take a few years to. I like Bell and everything he can offer down the road. A fun recruit who will likely be a Slot WR at the next level who can be an elite 3rd down target.

Aiden Jobe – Brownsburg – RB/WR – 5’7″ 140lbs – 2026
Jobe is a phenomenal young recruit who has some of the most fun tape to watch I’ve seen in a while. He just made me chuckle a few times more than I should. Jobe has taken the meaning “stop on a dime” to a new level. Jobe can stop on the tip of a needle, juke a yard to the left, all while not losing any speed. Defenders just slide right past him humorously and he’s gone. Jobe will weave through traffic, make guys miss in a phone booth, and somehow shoot out the backside of a hole that wasn’t even there. Right now, he is a bit shorter and lighter than you’d like but personally I don’t see an issue because he’s a freshman. More than that, he’ll develop over the next few years and still be the same dude on the field. He understands his game, what he does well, and is completely selfless. A complete joy to watch and I’m really looking forward to seeing his next batch of film because it’s as good as it gets.

Kendall Garnett Kendall Garnett 5'7" | 175 lbs | RB Westfield | 2025 State IN – Westfield – RB – 5’7″ 175lbs – 2025
Garnett is a fantastic young back who burst onto the scene for Westfield in the best way possible. He’s dripping in with raw potential with his athleticism alone. He’s a great athlete who has elite contact balance, vision, and the ability to change direction. He’s got no issue sticking his foot in the ground and changing direction and getting up field when he sees the gap. He’s got a well-built frame and can be hard to bring down, especially when he’s going full speed. At the varsity level this year he put up 1472 all-purpose yards with 835 of those coming from the ground. He had a total of 14 TDs. Over the next few years if Garnett is able to develop physically and continue his trajectory on the field he’s going to be a star. He’s got the talent and potential as he showcased this past fall and because of that, more eyes will be on him in the years moving forward.
