Bryce Clavon Bryce Clavon 5'11" | 185 lbs | QB Kell | 2024 State GA – 2024 – Kell
There might not be a hotter name at the QB position in the state than Clavon. Clavon just finished up a dominating breakout season in which he finished with nearly 3500 total yards and 40 total TDs. Clavon is a D1 football prospect, but he is also a legitimate draft prospect in the upcoming MLB draft. Simply put, Clavon is an elite athlete with an incredibly bright future. As you could expect, Clavon has an extremely live arm and can rocket the ball downfield. He is comfortable with throwing on the run. In fact, he excels at it. On top of his passing ability, he is an incredibly gifted runner that can make defenders miss in space. As colleges start to notice that Clavon is more than serious about playing football at the next level, you will start to see his name rise exponentially on the trail.
Aaron Philo Aaron Philo 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Prince Avenue Christian | 2024 State GA – 2024 – Prince Avenue
Despite throwing for over 4500 yards in back-to-back seasons, Philo is still an underrated national prospect with something to prove. Philo is headed for history during his senior season. With another 4500-yard effort, Philo would challenge Trevor Lawrence as the all-time leading passer in GAHSFB history. On film, Philo throws the ball with excellent touch and timing, always hitting his receivers in stride. He doesn’t have a super strong arm, but he has a strong enough arm to make all throws on the field and finds ways to finesse the ball into closing windows. Philo has excellent mobility inside and out of the pocket, showing the ability to extend plays and pick up extra yards with his legs. Philo has excellent prescience in the pocket, utilizing sudden movements to create space for him to throw. With another monster season, Philo will begin to make noise nationally.
Jeff Davis – 2024 – Grayson
Davis helped add another element to the Grayson offense during his first season with the Rams. As a senior, he is ready to take the next step in his development and become a formidable force in the state. Davis is a big QB with a big arm, showing the ability to put the ball behind the safeties and fire it into tight windows over the middle of the field. He has a longer release, but is able to speed up his delivery and get the ball out quickly. Davis checks all of the physical boxes, as he continues to add touch and timing to his game and refine his skills, Davis has a chance to become one of the biggest breakout prospects in Georgia next season.
Nikao Smith – 2024 – Ware County
Smith’s first season as the starter at Ware County was certainly one to remember. Not only did he have a productive season throwing for nearly 2500 yards and 27 TDs, but he also led his squad to an undefeated season with a win in the state title game. Smith is a great athlete with good arm talent. He possesses a unique ability to change up his throwing motion and change trajectories on the ball to make numerous different throws. He has excellent footwork in the pocket, staying in sync during his drop and stepping into all of his throws, Smith is a passer first, but he is a good enough athlete to hold defenses accountable in the QB run game, he can also get outside the pocket and throw the ball on the run. It was a season to remember for the first-time starter at Ware County, the buzz around that program has never been higher.
Braylan Ford – 2024 – Harrison
Ford is yet another breakout 2024 QB prospect that showed moxy down the stretch and played his best ball against the best competition. Ford stands on a 6’2 195 frame with plenty of room to fill out. Ford is a decent athlete, but his mental processing and field vision is what separates him from the rest. He does have a good arm and can put some touch on the ball as well as shorten up his motion and fire the ball into tight windows. Ford has some excellent footwork in the pocket, shuffling upwards to avoid pressure and throwing with all feet in the ground. Again, his mental processing and awareness is uncanny for a QB with just one year of starting experience. All of his throws are thrown with outstanding timing, anticipation, and confidence in his receivers. Ford makes everyone around him better, and a productive junior season is proof of that.
