1 – Christian Jones Christian Jones 6'3" | 220 lbs | LB Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE | LB/TE | Omaha Westside | 6’3″ 220 lbs
The new number 1 in this update of the rankings. Omaha Westside’s Christian Jones Christian Jones 6'3" | 220 lbs | LB Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE put together a fantastic season while helping the Warriors clinch the Class A state championship. Jones was everywhere on the field this season and racked up 60 tackles, five tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, three pass breakups, and an interception. I got the chance to watch Westside a few times this season and what stood out about Christian were his instincts and how quick he is to react. He has a high football IQ, so he can diagnose the play quickly and has the speed and explosiveness to change direction and make a play in a flash. He is very physical and uses his entire 6’3″, 220 lb frame to drive through his tackles. Christian does everything very well, from rushing the passer to defending the run, and is very good in coverage. Jones has received a lot of Power 5 interest with offers from Michigan State, Wisconsin, Kansas, Iowa State, Minnesota, and Nebraska and should continue to add more heading into his junior year.
2 – Tyson Terry Tyson Terry 6'2" | 270 lbs | DL Omaha North | 2025 State NE | DL | Omaha North | 6’2″ 270 lbs
If this could be a 1a and 1b situation, it totally would be with how great these two have been. Omaha North DL Tyson Terry Tyson Terry 6'2" | 270 lbs | DL Omaha North | 2025 State NE continued to cement himself as an elite Power 5-level prospect with an outstanding sophomore season. Despite seeing double teams and schemes steering clear from him, Terry still piled up a team-leading 54 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, four sacks, and two fumble recoveries. Tyson can disrupt a game whether you line him up at D tackle or defensive end. His wrestling background shines on the gridiron with his natural instincts to gain leverage and impose his will. When he’s not forcing his way into the backfield, Tyson shows a great nose for finding creases and sneaking through the protection for a tackle for loss. One thing that stands out about Tyson is his ability to lead vocally and by example, something he’s been doing since his freshman year. Tyson has already piqued the interest of several Power 5 teams with offers from Iowa, Vanderbilt, Kansas State, Iowa State, Minnesota, Nebraska, and Kansas, with several other schools keeping tabs on the Vikings trench monster.
3 – Pierce Mooberry Pierce Mooberry 6'4" | 200 lbs | ATH Millard North | 2025 State NE | ATH | Millard North | 6’4″ 200 lbs
The Millard North class has a pair of top-5 prospects in their 2025 class, and several others also ranked highly. Pierce might be the most intriguing prospect of the group with his overall versatility. Mooberry is tall, lengthy, and athletic, with great range and sideline-to-sideline ability. On the offensive side, Pierce plays tight end, where he is a reliable target and a devastating blocker. Pierce hauled in 16 receptions for 404 yards and scored five touchdowns. He uses his long arms and hops to outjump defenders and make catches at the high point. Mooberry also had some catches where he showed great body control while twisting and turning for the ball. At 25 yards per reception, Pierce is also showing he can be a deep-ball threat. On defense, Mooberry recorded 45 tackles, ten tackles for loss, four sacks, and an interception. He is a versatile player that can line up at the line to terrorize backfields, or he can play as an off-ball LB that can cover tight ends and inside receivers. I couldn’t tell you 100% what position Pierce will play in college, but I can say that wherever it is, he will make an impact.
4 – Pierre Allen Jr Pierre Allen Jr 6'3" | 215 lbs | DL Lincoln Southeast | 2025 State NE . | DE/OLB | Lincoln Southeast | 6’2″ 200 lbs
One player I think will dominate in his junior year is Lincoln Southeast’s Pierre Allen Jr Pierre Allen Jr 6'3" | 215 lbs | DL Lincoln Southeast | 2025 State NE . Pierre had a breakout season in 2022 with 75 tackles, 3.5 sacks, two passes defended, two fumble recoveries, an interception, and three total touchdowns. He plays fast and explosive with a quick first step and violent hands. Depending on the play, he can rip downhill quickly to apply pressure to the QB or he set his anchor and establish the edge to disrupt the run game. He has the quickness and recovery speed to run RBs down from the backside. Allen plays defensive end for the Knights but could project well as an OLB/EDGE rusher at the next level with his size and speed. He has a good nose for the ball and can make big plays with turnovers or sacks/TFLs. Watch out for this guy!
5 – Caden VerMaas Caden VerMaas 6'0" | 195 lbs | ATH Millard North | 2025 State NE | DB/ATH | Millard North | 6’0″ 195 lbs
Like his teammate Pierce, Caden is another very interesting prospect from the Mustang’s ’25 class. VerMaas is a hard-hitting safety on defense that racked up 49 tackles and forced three fumbles on the year. He exploded on offense with 1,216 all-purpose yards, 867 of those being rushing yards, and scored 14 total touchdowns as a runner, receiver, and returner. His biggest attribute is his speed, clocking a 4.5 40-yard time with great acceleration and burst. Caden uses this speed very well when he needs to close space between himself and the ball carrier, taking off on returns, and when firing around the corner on a run. He plays with a lot of intensity which is especially visible in his runs. Caden is a violent runner that can dish out stiff arms and lower his pads to knock defenders back. He has good balance and can absorb contact without going down right away. Caden’s hard work paid off with his first D1 Power 5 offer from Nebraska in early October. Expect to see more coming his way soon.
6 – Keynan Cotton Keynan Cotton 5'10" | 185 lbs | ATH Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE | ATH/DB | Omaha Westside | 5’10” 180 lbs
With all the talent on the Westside roster, one player I feel gets somewhat overlooked is the dynamic ATH/DB Keynan Cotton Keynan Cotton 5'10" | 185 lbs | ATH Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE . Cotton is the second Warriors ’25 member in the top 10 and was a key player in all three phases of the game. Keynan had 21 catches for 219 yards, 39 tackles, three pass breakups, two interceptions, 157 return yards, and three total touchdowns. He’s an overall excellent talent, but I was really impressed by his play at cornerback/DB. He is very smart and disciplined with his eyes. Keynan has a smooth backpedal and can flip his hips with ease with the speed to keep up with any receiver. As a receiver, Keynan is an impressive route runner with crisp footwork and sharp cutting ability. He is pretty strong with good balance and can handle overly aggressive DBs trying to knock him off course. Very shifty with the ball in his hands and can find open lanes. Radar BUSTER season coming up for this young man.
7- Titan Glassman Titan Glassman 6'0" | 185 lbs | WR Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE | WR | Omaha North | 6’0″ 175 lbs
The receiver talent in the upcoming classes is insane, and Omaha North’s Titan Glassman Titan Glassman 6'0" | 185 lbs | WR Omaha Westside | 2025 State NE looks like the best out of the ’25 bunch. In his first season suiting up for the Vikings, Titan hauled in 32 receptions for 500 receiving yards and a touchdown. What’s most impressive about Titan’s stats is how he gets those receptions and yards. Glassman shows excellent footwork and top-tier route running ability, coupled with the instincts to find the open zones or create separation against man coverage. He is explosive at the breakoff point in his route and can change directions with a great start/stop ability. At the catch point, he has automatic hands and does a great job securing the ball before making his next move. Glassman has also proved to be a solid defensive back, playing a limited safety role. I think we’ll be hearing about Titan sooner rather than later.
8 – Alijah Wayne Alijah Wayne 6'4" | 225 lbs | ATH Omaha Central | 2025 State NE | TE/ATH | Omaha Central | 6’4″ 205 lbs
Alijah is a player I believe is primed for a huge off-season. The Omaha Central riser stood out on the offensive and defensive side of the ball for the Eagles as a tight end and outside linebacker. He ended the season with 59 tackles, three tackles for loss, and an interception on defense. Wayne showed the ability to cover slot receivers and can shut down outside runs to his side. The offense displayed the growing pains of a young team, but Alijah gave the Eagles lots to look forward to. Wayne is a big, lengthy pass catcher that can go up and make plays outside of his frame. He is a reliable safety blanket you can dump off to, and know he’ll fight for extra yardage. One of the huge upside players in this class.
9 – Adam Pugh Adam Pugh 6'3" | 235 lbs | DL Millard South | 2025 State NE | DL | Millard South | 6’4″ 220 lbs
The Patriots have an up-and-coming stud on the defensive line in DE Adam Pugh Adam Pugh 6'3" | 235 lbs | DL Millard South | 2025 State NE . Pugh had a huge impact in the varsity DL rotation, racking up 30 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, and five sacks in nine games. What stands out about Adam is how quick and explosive he is coming off the line, not just on some plays but EVERY down. Whether he’s lined up in a 3-tech, 5-tech, at defensive end, or defensive tackle, Adam is full throttle and can create splash plays. He has a strong upper body that he uses to bull-rush his way into backfields, and can also use speed moves to fly past blockers. One thing Pugh does very well is his ability to gain the edge when he’s lined up at DE. He is very disciplined to not bite on options and tosses and knows when to attack once he’s diagnosed a pass or a QB keep. The duo of Adam Pugh Adam Pugh 6'3" | 235 lbs | DL Millard South | 2025 State NE and junior JR Lecuona will be nightmare fuel for QBs.
10 – Chase Loftin Chase Loftin 6'6" | 215 lbs | TE Millard South | 2025 State NE | WR | Elkhorn North | 6’5″ 200 lbs
Elkhorn North’s Chase Loftin Chase Loftin 6'6" | 215 lbs | TE Millard South | 2025 State NE established himself as a problem for Class B teams for the next couple of seasons. Loftin emerged as the top pass catcher for the Wolves with 39 receptions for 577 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Chase is a unique player with the size of a tight end but the fluidity and suddenness of a receiver. He is a complete nightmare to scheme against because of his size and athleticism. His versatility is also a huge asset in creating mismatches, as Loftin can line up at outside receiver, slot, and tight end. Chase is also very good after the catch, turning upfield and gaining extra yardage with his legs. Elkhorn North will have a new QB under center in 2023, but having Chase as a reliable option in the middle of the field should ease the transition.
