Gonzales was the DB MVP of the showcase. He's a nimble, fluid athlete that flashed natural speed and burst in both testing and 1v1s. He's a smaller CB measuring at 5'10”/160 that can play in space and mirror routes in man coverage with quick change-of-direction. He showed ability to make plays in 1v1 coverage, driving downhill on routes and ball skills at the catch point. Gonzales, Bachhuber, and Shanley make up a strong core of returning seniors for San Clemente next season.

Beyer was one of the top overall performers in testing and 1v1s at the showcase. He has upside in his length and physicality as a cover-corner at 6'0”/170 and finished at the top of every testing category for his position. He gets his hands on receivers at the LOS, disrupting routes on the front-end and can mirror routes with short-area quickness and change-of-direction. He trusts his instincts and reactions in isolated coverage on the outside and possesses the ball skills to create turnovers, recording 5 INTs as a junior. Beyer picked up his first D-I offer from UNLV two days after the showcase.

Brown had one of the most athletic frames and skillsets among DBs at 5'11”/165 and tested near the top of every category for his position. He's fluid gaining depth and opening the hips to break on routes. He struggled to synchronize routes at times in 1v1s but man coverage likely isn't his main asset as a more natural zone-safety. He's a physical tackler on film that can provide run support and tackle in space playing near the edge of the box. He excels at anticipating throws and disrupting passes in the shallow-intermediate area, mostly playing quarters and 2-deep scheme.
