Athletes from the classes of 2027-2029, had a chance to jump start their exposure as they prepare themselves for future football seasons. Here are the Defensive Linemen that made First Team All-Camp.
Officially measuring in at 6-foot-4 and 215-pounds on the dote, Rowe has the extended length to keep blockers away from his body at engagement. His get off at the snap enabled him to win rep after rep during one-on-one drills and he put on a dominate performance. He plays with great leverage; he has the hip flexibility to bend well and his dip and rip technique allowed him to push past each opponent who lined up in front of him. Zane has freakish athleticism and his closing speed during passing rushing pursuit drills, allowed him to win rep after rep. Expect him to be a prospect that gets offered before the end of the spring/summer camp circuit. He’ll be a nationally-recruited kid and should have his pick of schools to choose from, if he continues on this path.
Beyer has a stout, powerful build, he has long arms and his get off at the snap of the ball, allowed him to beat his opponent routinely. At 6-foot and 205-pounds, Kingston plays with great technique; he has violent hands and he used good leverage to win multiple reps during the pass rush portion of the camp. During the agility session, Beyer showed off his nimble feet, his ability to change direction fluidly and he displayed good short area quickness. Beyer has a high ceiling as he heads into high school and he has the skill set as an edge rusher that allows him to cause havoc in his opponents back field. One coach we spoke to said if Rowe wasn’t so dominant, that Beyer could have been MVP of the position group.
Highlights
Clawson has elite burst with a quick first step, he has next level body control and runs the arch like a veteran. Carmelo has a high motor; his violent hands enable him to shuck and shed his open quickly and his extended arm length aides him in keeping opponents from getting into his chest. Clawson officially measured in at 6-foot and 193-pounds and has a compact build, great hip flexibility and showed off his quickness and nimble feet in the agility session. Carmelo plays with great leverage and his closing speed off the edge gave his opponents fits during the pass rush one on one session. Right now he is somewhere between an Outside Linebacker and Defensive End; with continued growth and development upside is through the roof.
