Continue ReadingGregory stunned me from his first matchup and always succeeded in doing so in the following matchups he had. This young man has it all for someone on the interior line at his age. Gregory is fast off the ball and extremely quick for someone his size, which can be attributed to his footwork and how light he showed to be on his feet. Once Gregory was out of his stance, he hit the offensive lineman with many hand moves, from swims to rips. If the defensive lineman moves weren’t enough to deal with for his opposing offensive lineman, Gregory was strong and wouldn’t hesitate to take advantage of an offensive lineman sitting back on their heels waiting for the move. There is no doubt that Gregory will have a tremendous impact on his team at the following levels of play.
Jaxon caught my eye early as he never let up on the field, and his motor never seemed to quit. In addition to his engine, Jaxon was powerful in his upper body, but he also showed that he had some strong legs, which aided in his explosiveness off the line. Jaxon put up a 6’11” broad jump, allowing him to display that lower body strength. These attributes translated into his matchups as he frequently beat offensive linemen off the ball and would be around them before they could get their hands on him. Jaxon is a stout defender who will continue to develop into a strong defender, I am sure.

Jyheir Sutton
Jyheir was another player who dominated every one-on-one matchup that he had, repeatedly making a fool of his offensive counterparts. This young man has a tremendously solid first punch, which allows him to get the offensive lineman off-balance. From there, Jyheir is then able to work a toolbox of moves on the offensive linemen that enable him to get to the quarterback. Jyheir is also extremely quick off of the ball. Put all this together, Jyheir is someone who will continuously have contending offenses circle him in their film sessions for years to come.
