PRZ Carolinas StockUp Showcase – Defensive Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The anxiety and expectations from last year's event generated momentum leading up to the second Carolinas StockUp Showcase. There were over 70 players that participated in the combine. There were several talented players who displayed their skill sets while participating in the various drills throughout the combine. The talented players listed caught my attention throughout the combine.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='265789' first='Jason' last='McNeilly'] - DL, 6'2" 230 (No. 5 DL, No. 42 Overall), Shelby HS</strong>. Jason displayed good speed and technique while controlling and moving past blockers during the one-on-one drills. He displayed quickness and good balance while participating in the agility drills. Jason was clearly the top defensive end in the group. The 2024 prospect should begin to generate recruiting interest.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='429230' first='Jay' last='Jackson'] - LB, 6'1" 210 (No. 29 LB, No. 181 Overall), North Stanly HS</strong>. Jay displayed good speed and change of directions while participating in the one-on-one drills. He displayed quick fluid movements while participating in the agility drills. The 2024 prospect should begin to generate recruiting interest.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='572266' first='William' last='Holland'] - DL, 6'3" 325 (No. 27 DL, No. 190 Overall), South Brunswick HS</strong>. William displayed upper body strength and good use of hands while overpowering blockers during the one-on-one drills. He moved with quickness and good balance while participating in the agility drills. William was clearly the top defensive tackle in the group. The 2024 prospect should begin to generate a lot of recruiting interest.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='286142' first='Zachary' last='Mccormick'] - DL, 6'1" 235 (No. 7 DL, No. 44 Overall), Union Pines HS</strong>. Zachary displayed good technique and use of hands to control blockers while participating in the one-on-one drills. He displayed good hip thrust and lower body strength while participating in the linemen drills. The 2025 prospect should begin to generate recruiting interest. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='308736' first='Idris' last='Webb'] - LB, 6'0" 185 (No. 34 LB, No. 318 Overall), Chapel Hill HS</strong>. Idris displayed good speed and good change of directions while participating in the one-on-one drills. He participated in the defensive back group and displayed the athleticism to cover receivers on passing plays. The 2023 prospect is expected to receive offers to play at the next level. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Rasean Marajah - LB, 6'0" 225, Catawba Ridge HS</strong>. Rasean displayed good lateral movement and speed while participating in the one-on-one drills. He displayed quickness and made good change of directions while participating in the agility drills. Rasean was the top linebacker in the group. Lamarion displayed good technique and the ability to change directions quickly to cover receivers while participating in the one-on-one drills. He displayed quickness and quick movements while participating in the agility drills. The 2023 prospect is expected to receive offers to play at the next level. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
