It is a time that you can work on all of the important things that will help your game. It is also a very good time to get noticed by recruiting analyst and more. Here are some guys I know will start the off-season with a bang.
Kevin Riley Kevin Riley 6'0" | 190 lbs | RB Tuscaloosa County | 2024 State AL , RB, Tuscaloosa Co, 2024
Riley made a very big name last year. The offers were rolling in as soon as his midseason film hit social media. Riley is a true running back. He has good size and speed. He also has the lower body strength to get tough yards between the tackle. Riley also has a very nice physical shape. You can tell that once he gets to a college workout plan that he will be huge. He has multiple power five offers, and he is definitely one of the best players in Alabama. I can’t wait to come see one of his games in person. He is one of those players that catches your eye with his film. He definitely is a power five running back.
Landon Duckworth, QB, Jackson HS, 2026
This guy is a straight up stud. He is even killing it on the basketball court. These days you can catch him flying around the air dunking a basketball. However, we are talking football right now. Duckworth is the man when he stands back at quarterback. He is also a workhorse. This kid loves to work. Duckworth has great size, speed and a very good arm. He is a threat on the read option. He took one play to the house for 99 yards last season. This kid is one that you will need to get familiar with.
AJ Rice AJ Rice 6'2" | 225 lbs | LB Madison Academy | 2025 State AL , LB, Madison Academy, 2025
Here is another guy you will hear me call a stud. He gets in running backs face on a very regular schedule. He is the kind of linebacker old school football lovers want to be around. Rice is going to fill holes. That’s what he does. He also has some very good size. He knows how to throw around his size. I would like to see him find more techniques for shedding blocks. The more his name grows, the more he will see different schemes to take him out of the game. He will need to be able to quickly adapt to those changes.
Ken Cherry, RB, Madison Academy, 2024
Cherry caught my eye with his film. This kid knows how to score touchdowns. He has some good balance in between the tackles. He also does not get caught once he takes off for a long run. Cherry is a prospect that I will be paying attention to this year. Watching his film was very fun. He makes a lot of plays for his team. I think this off-season he needs to work on keeping his body behind those pads. He also needs to get more of a lean within his running form once he breaks. He is only going to continue to see more speed. Cherry is a guy we should keep up with.
