The most dominant interior defensive lineman in the Garden State, Hawk had an impressive senior season. Recording over 102 tackles with 23 tackles for loss and 4 sacks on the year. Hawk showcased his ability to be a game-changer as a run defender and a pass rusher. Hawk will be taking his talent to Iowa State this fall and will, undoubtedly, be a game-changer for the Cyclones when his time comes.
Auguste has prototypical size and an NFL frame. Gensley had a solid season overall raising his level of play during the playoffs where West Orange won the sectional title. Auguste finished the year with 64 total tackles and 2 sacks. While the stats aren’t gaudy his impact in the middle was felt this year and was a key cog of the defense. Gensley, originally committed to Georgia Tech then de-committed in mid-December and commits to Temple; August should be a welcomed addition in the middle for the Owls.
18 months after signing up to play football Pharrell Adams Pharrell Adams 6'3" | 275 lbs | DL Synder | 2023 State NJ has caught the eyes of many college coaches. Adams has a quick first step and plenty of explosivness as a pass rusher. Finishing the season with 12.5 sacks and 30 TFL. Adams’s best football will be ahead of him as the University Of Rhode Island put the bid in to hone this young talent. Adams flew under the radar, this season but even with his lack of playing experience he’s still one of the best interior defensive linemen in the state.
Mitchell has the size and athleticism to have NFL scouts salivating to see him. He earns the nod on this list because he turned it up in the playoffs and even had a hand, in stifling the Don Bosco ground game on his way to a state title. Mitchell is headed to Texas to play for the Longhorns, as Texas will make the switch into the SEC it will be interesting to see how Sydir does against the cream of the crop in terms of competition.
